I'm still enjoying my blogging/crafting break and spending time with my family, I feel really rested and happy, despite the fact that my main desktop pc is kaput at the mo.
I haven't completely given up card making though, and have made some cards over the past couple of months, mainly for family and friends, which has been nice to do.
I have been busy in my craft room this week actually :)
This card was needed quickly to wish good luck to a friend who is starting a new job, an easy, quick design was called for. The kraft cardstock is by Basic Grey, the green and mustard ones by My Mind's Eye. The lucky clover is simply 4 stamped hearts. The sentiment in the centre was free with a craft mag.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges at:
Sentimental Sundays - Clean & simple
The Paper Shelter - Clean & simple
MMCS challenges - Kraft it!
This next card is pink and girly, and sure to please, especially if the girly receiving it has a sweet tooth ;)
I used some Stampin Up products for this card ('crazy for cupcakes' stamp set and some of the papers), the cupcakes were stamped onto patterned papers first then again onto plain white for the creamy toppings,
I'd like to enter this card at:
Cupcake - The great cake off photo inspiration
Onto my next card, this was fun to make. I used My Mind's Eye papers and this fab 'Madison Attitude' Kenny K image, coloured with promarkers.
Then I added a cute little handbag charm just beneath the handwritten 'auntie' sentiment. The flower and scalloped circle embellishment/sentiment finished the card.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Digi Doodle Shop - Use a charm
Allsorts - going around in circles (i've missed the deadline, but wanted to link it anyway)
This card, i'm not too sure about, maybe I should have arranged the top two thirds of this card differently? because the bottom third i'm quite happy with.
I pleated the HOTP soft nostalgia paper, added a scalloped border above that and then some pom-pom trim on top of that, love the outcome.
The image is of course a Magnolia.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Little Miss Muffet challenges - scallops
This is my final card to show you tonight, my brief was to make a card for a man who is young and works in a bank......YIKES! what on earth do I make?
so I made this and hoped that the added strip of numbers and the ledger style backing paper (Basic Grey) would be suitable enough, and luckily it was, the card was a hit, but I think it was secretly the stars that swung it though lol...
Well that's it for me, for now anyway, I'm hoping to get my main computer fixed after the school holidays so that I can access more images and papers, and of course my own designs too.
Hope you've all had a lovely summer, enjoy the rest of the school holidays.
Love, Jo xx
