I was asked to make 2 cards for 2 special friends, both ladies celebrating their 50th birthday.
This is the first card...
I made a card almost identical to this last year, you can see it here.
The image is from DigiStamp Boutique (Florence and present).
I used the same supplies as the previous card too, although one of the papers is a different design from the same pad, 'Bonnets
& Bowties' by Nitwit (at LOTV).
The name and number were cut using Die-namics dies, and the pretty frame was cut using a cArt-Us 'fountain' border die.
I'm entering this card at
DigiStamp Boutique - June customer competition
Crafts galore encore - anything goes
and here is the 2nd card...
This image is by Stitchy Bear,
well actually it's an image of one shoe, I added the other shoe (with permission first) by simply not printing the pearls on the other one, as you would do by not inking up that part on an actual stamp, then, after printing, drawing in the lines with a fineliner to fill in the space left behind. I fussy-cut them out after colouring, then layered one on top of the other. I added some stickles to the necklace for that added sparkle.
The patterned paper background is by Echo Park (Be Mine).
The number was cut using Die-namics dies, and the sentiment was printed off the computer.
I finished with lace and pearl trim from my stash.
I'm entering this card at:

For my 2 lovely daughters
My eldest, Emma, celebrated her 26th birthday on St George's Day, and my middle child, Laura, will be 25 on May Day.
These are the cards that I made for them both.
Starting with Emma's...
Emma loves Disney's 'The Little Mermaid'.
I CASE'd this design. I recently found a photo of a party table decoration on pinterest, and thought how lovely the design would look on a card. The pinterest post links to a seller on Etsy, if you want to see the original work.
Back to my card, everything is paper pieced, then backed with foam before adhering to the front of the card base, which has a piece of glossy white cardstock, inked with 2 distress inks (mowed lawn & peacock feathers) finally, I added 'bubbles' by pressing the lid of a pen top into white ink.
Daughter was stamped using a set by Clearly Besotted Stamps.
I'd like to enter this card at Cute Card Thursday - no patterned papers
I embossed some lines and lightly inked them to resemble a stave. Then used Dienamics 'Musical Notes' dies for the 'music'. I added further die-cutting with the Sister word die by Clearly Besotted Stamps, and stamped using the 'Text Me' set, also by CBS.
I'd like to enter this card at Seize The Birthday - anything goes
I started by paper piercing the backing paper around the edges, then dragged a white gel pen through those holes for some faux stitching. The paper is from a pad by StudioLight called Pretty in pink. I bought it from here.
The image is 'Cindy' by Wee Stamps (in rubber from Whimsy Stamps), coloured with promarkers.
Cindy is cut out using a Spellbinders 'Elegant Ovals' die, and then adorned with a daugther greeting (another CBS set), punched leaves (ash leaf, woodware), and flowers from the 'Lattice' die set by Paper Smooches. I finished the card by adding some tiny pearls.
I'd like to enter this card at Crafty Catz - fairies
The image is Baseball Boots by Just Inklined, and is coloured with promarkers.
I teamed this up with a different sheet of paper from that same pad.
Dies used are alphabet by Tattered Lace, and a cArt-Us border die (fountain). I finished the card with some flat-back pink crystals.
I'd like to enter this card at Simon Says Stamp (weds) - anything goes
Thanks for looking, have a fab weekend! xx

For my Grandsons...
I made these 2 cards for my 2 grandsons.
I grabbed a few images from Whiff of Joy before they closed, and kept these 2 especially for Mikey & RJ.
Here's the first...
This little cutie is 'Henry On Present'. Coloured with promarkers, and edged using a cArt-Us die, (Border Drop).
I embossed the yellow piece with a folder from Cuttlebug's Mini Monsters Companions set, this folder has a sweets and lollipops design.
Grandson was cut using a word die by Crafts Too.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Sweet Stampin - Merry Christmas
Crafting From The Heart - anything goes
and here's the second card...
This equally cute Henry image is 'Henry Hugging Bauble', but i've teamed it with another WoJ image, the baubles, from their 'Christmas Accesories' set, so that I could create this scene.
I used the same embossing folder and Grandson word die as before.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Passion for Promarkers - mega christmas challenge
The Male Room - christmas or seasonal greetings

Happy Hour
Here's a card that I was commissioned to make recently. I can now share it online...
This beautiful image is Happy Hour by Kenny K & I coloured it with promarkers.
The pretty backing paper is from LOTV (Mr & Mrs).
The scalloped border at the bottom of the card was cut with a cArt-Us die called 'fountain'.
I dressed up the card with lace, pearl trim, flowers made with my SU 'boho blossoms' punch and resin pearl look centres, woodware 'ash' leaf punch, and the number 40 cut with die-namics 'by the number' dies.
Amanda was cut using a Tattered Lace alphabet die.
I'd like to enter this card at:
I Love Promarkers - anything goes
Seize the Birthday - anything goes (no topping)
The Ribbon Girl - anything goes
Kenny K - anything goes (no twist)
Thanks for looking, hope you have a great day :) xx

Mom's 70th
Today is my beautiful Mom's 70th birthday :)
This is the card I have made for her...
I've used Daisy, one of the Polka Dot Pals from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
I've coloured the image with promarkers.
Daisy is framed using a Spellbinders 'Elegant Ovals' die, large die cut flowers also by Spellbinders (Pretty Petals B), and a Woodware ash leaf punch. I glued some flat back silver pearls to the centre of the flowers.
The papers are both from a pad called 'Sunny Side' by Pebbles Inc. I separated these usind a cArt-Us border die (Fountain), and stitched ribbon by SU.
Mom was die cut using Die-namics By The Letter dies.
I'd like to enter this card at:

Laughing Giraffe
Hello! I hope you had a fab weekend :)
Monday means it's time for a brand new I {heart}sketches challenge at From The Heart Stamps :)
Here's the sketch...
The twist this time is to use animals.
Join in the challenge, and EVERYONE who plays will receive a $1 discount code for the store, and if you are the challenge winner, you will receive a $5 discount code to the store! :)
I chose to go with the twist this time, and I used one of the images from Laughing Giraffes, coloured with Promarkers.
The sentiment isn't with this image, but it IS one of the sentiments that you get with Party Hat Birdbrain.
Papers used here are from My Mind's Eye (Stella & Rose, Mabel), and I found a scrap piece of hard semi-transparent pale teal plastic in my scraps which worked perfectly behind the ornate frame (cArt-Us die), secured with white eyelets.
I punched leaves from the same papers to decorate, using an ash leaf punch by Woodware.
I shall be entering this card in to the following challenges:
Crafting From The Heart - always anything goes
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Shopping Our Stash - show us your snark
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - frame it
Ribbon Girl - everything goes with an image
You can find more inspiration, and enter the I {heart} sketches challenges by clicking HERE.

Florence & Present
This card uses a pretty image from DigiStamp Boutique, it is Florence and present, isn't she a cutie?
Both patterned papers are from the collection 'Bonnets & Bowties' by Lili of the Valley & Nitwit.
The 'happy birthday' sentiment is by Paper Smooches (sentiment sampler set), and the name was cut using Die-namics 'by the letter' dies.
I've added a die-cut frame behind the floral piece using a cArt-Us border die (fountain), which I snipped in 2 pieces so that I could glue them around the corners.
The layers are given dimension with foam tape.
I'd like to enter this card at:
DigiStamp Boutique - July customer competition
Passion for Promarkers - flowers (my background)
Papertake Weekly - build it up

Inspiration Wednesday Birdbrain
Good Morning :)
Here's my mid-week inspiration card for From The Heart Stamps.
This week i'm using one of my favourite Birdbrains, Birthday Candle Birdbrain...
I've coloured my image with promarkers, including the background, on to which I then used the blender pen to fade out the colour behind this fun, feathery dude. The candle, wax and perspiration all had a brush with a clear Wink of Stella glitter pen, though you can't see this in the photo.
The blue spotty paper is from a digital pack called 'cuckoo 4 u' by Samantha Walker.
Both the chevron and stars papers are from the same digital pack, called 'Superheroes' by Eltendedero on Etsy.
The sentiment on the front of the card is a stamp by Inkadinkado.
I've used a cArt-Us die (ornate frame) for the piece behind the image, which has been given a doodled edge with a white gel pen.
I made the card front to fit onto an easel card this week, and I have made it stand towards the front end of the base...
...which gave me room for the sentiment (one of SIXTEEN that you get for free with this image)...
I'd like to enter this card at:
Papertake Weekly - Take Your Pick (I used all of the themes!)
Passion For Promarkers - come fly with me
Seize The Birthday - anything goes
Allsorts - Happy Birthday
Sweet Stampin - Birds and/or Bees
Crafts Galore Encore - anything goes

Bouquet without Chick
As you more than likely know by now, one of my favourite characters to use on a card are the Birdbrains by From The Heart Stamps. Faith really captures these little dudes and dudettes in such great poses which are sure to gain a smile when you see them :)
Have you seen the NEW RELEASES yet? there's a couple of new Birdbrains, as well as some new images that are perfect for Valentines.
Most of Faith's images come with free sentiments, and sometimes, you get additional images too.
So today, I wanted to show you one of these additional images.
I've used Bouquet Chick in the past, on this card (my debut GDT card).
But did you know that when you buy this digi, you also get the vase of flowers without the peeking chick?...
I've used this weeks sketch with a twist (#97) for my layout, and i've used the twist too, which is to use embossed cardstock. I chose an embossing folder from Cuttlebug's Heritage Companion Set for my background piece.
I resized, then printed one of the larger flowers again so that I could use it as an extra embellishment.
I coloured my images with Promarkers, then added some flatback pearls to the centre of the larger flowers.
The scalloped frame behind the image is actually a border die by cArt-Us ('fountain'), which has been cut up into individual scallops and then glued to the back of my oval. I started and ended at the point where I wanted to place my embellishment so that the slight gap between 2 of the scallops could be hidden.
The spotty paper was free with a craft magazine some time ago, I can't see the brand name anywhere on the pad, but the paper collection is called 'Sew Pretty'.
The sentiment is a stamp by Inkadinkado.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Crafts Galore - use a stamp or digi
That Craft Place - anything goes
Crafting from the Heart - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Hearts and/or Flowers

18th birthday cards
I was asked to make a couple of cards for an 18th birthday...
This image is by Stitchy Bear, well actually it's an image of one shoe, I added another shoe (with permission) as I prefer the look of the pair, although I did print the single shoe with pearls again so That I could layer it with foam pads. I printed an additional string of pearls too, after colouring them, I cut them out and gave them a coating of Anita's 3D clear gloss.
The paper is by Melissa Frances (Classic Elegance - Strictly Business)
I diecut the '18' with Die-namics By The Number dies.
And here's the other card...
This fun image is Funny Face by Redonkadoodles.
Both the floral & soft striped papers were free in a craft mag, it's from a pad called Bonnets & Bowties and is by Lili of the Valley & Nitwit Collections.
I've added this pretty border either side, using a cArt-Us die (fountain), then added some flat back crystals and punched flowers to decorate.
'Niece' was cut using Die-namics By The Letter dies.

Anything goes at LMM
It's time for a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet.
and this time, we have another easy one for you. Anything Goes!
I've used one of the New Releases on my card, this is Jack Follow The Leader, a digital image from the Pollycraft range.

The sentiment is by Pink Petticoat
The striped paper is by Fancy Pants (Beach Babe), thanks Faye xx
The droplet border is a cArt-Us die.
The other Little Misses have made some beautiful creations, please visit the challenge blog to see what they have made.

Scooter's Buddies...
...That's the name of this image. I bought it before Paula closed Pollycraft's doors for the final time :(
Glad I got the image though, but I don't know why it's taken me so long to colour this one up...
I've used promarkers as is usual for me. I chose colours to compliment the papers which are by Bella Gypsy (The Last Key). I printed them onto card stock though to get more stability as I've used a cArt-Us die to cut out the frame behind the image.
The sentiment is from Paper Smooches, from the Sentiment Sampler set.
I've cut flowers with my Die-namics flower and leaf trio die. Then added a bit of bling to the centre of each one.
I'd like to enter Scooter and his buddies at:
Digi Galore - Anything goes
Stampin for the Weekend - Anything goes
Lexi's Creations - Punches and dies

300
Sketch Saturday has its 300th challenge today!
WOW! that's an achievement eh? :)
As one the original Saturday Girls, I was asked if i'd like to be their Guest Designer for this momentous occasion. Of course, I said YES! and not only that, my first ever sketch gets an airing too, although it has had a bit of a facelift, but then I would need one too if I reached 300! lol...
Obviously the new sketch is the one on the right. And here's my card using it...
The image is Birthday Candle Birdbrain, by From The Heart Stamps. I think that this is one of my favourite images right now, it's such a lovely image to colour. As usual, i've used promarkers here.
The papers used are both from MME's life of the party pad.
The pretty border is a cArt-Us die (fountain).
This weeks sketch is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp, who are offering a very generous $25 gift certificate for the lucky challenge winner.

WOW! that's an achievement eh? :)
As one the original Saturday Girls, I was asked if i'd like to be their Guest Designer for this momentous occasion. Of course, I said YES! and not only that, my first ever sketch gets an airing too, although it has had a bit of a facelift, but then I would need one too if I reached 300! lol...

Jasmine
The Little Misses were given a free rein this week to showcase whatever we fancied colouring up...
This is Jasmine, she's a Sugar 'n Spice Doll available in rubber from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
By the way, she has a sister (a digi) named Coriander, whom you can grab for free at the moment along with a few other challenge freebies that Barbara is kindly offering to those of you who would like to snag one for your collection.
You can find them HERE.
For my card, I started by deciding I wanted to use this spotty paper from MME's Stella & Rose 'Gertie' pad, knowing that i'd also like to use kraft cardstock and gold shimmer paper with it.
So I started colouring Jasmine. Now, in my head, I wanted her to have a red dress and a brown bear, but my hands decided the opposite to that! and i'd started to colour the bear red before realising what i'd done. lol. Looks ok though eh?
The layout for my card was inspired by Sam's sketch over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp, but I haven't followed it close enough to join in their challenge, I just wanted to give recognition to where I saw it first.
'Thank You' is from a selection of All Night Media stamps bought for me by my Daughter. I cut it out using one of my cArt-Us frame dies.
The lacy edge strips were made using one of my new Marianne dies on gold shimmer paper.
I'd like to enter this card at:
The Pink Elephant - thank you
Craft Your Passion - fancy borders/edges
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Shopping Our Stash - use something new (border die)
Inky Impressions - something new (border die)
Penny's Paper Crafty - anything goes
Thanks for looking, if you fancy a challenge, we have an easy peasy sketch challenge still going on ;)

Claudia's Tutu
oooh my first post of 2014...Happy New Year everyone!
Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and crafty 2014, and with emphasis today on the 'crafty' there's a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges, and to kick off the year, we have a sketch for you...
Here's my take on it...
This image is Claudia's Tutu, and i've coloured her with promarkers, cut her out, then stuck her down with foam pads over a die cut frame shape (cArt-Us die).
The papers used here are Dovecraft vintage christmas (spotty), and Sizzix 'little sizzles - country' (both yellows, the plain yellow having been embossed with my stylised flowers embossing folder)
I punched and layered the flowers and added a bit of sparkle to the centre of each with a crystal gem.
The green die cut leaves are the last few left from a pack that I bought quite a while back from a well known auction site.
Hmmm, now i'm not too sure I should have used yellow, but I supposed it's different from the 'norm'.
To see what the other Little Misses have made using this sketch, please pop over to the challenge blog :)
I'd like to enter this card at:
The Pink Elephant - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Pick of the Year (Die-ing for a Punch)
Shopping Our Stash - use the last of something (die cut leaves)
Crafting By Designs - anything goes
Crafty Creations - anything goes
Thank you for stopping by today :)

Neva
There's no challenge this week from Little Miss Muffet,
instead, the Little Misses will be sharing some inspirational cards with you.
You may recognise this little cutie from our Challenge Blog and Facebook group. Neva is an exclusive Polka Dot Pals image that Barbara will send to you for free if you place an order over $10, isn't she lovely? thanks Barbara, a HUGE Merry Chistmas to you and your family xx
Here's what i've done with Neva...
I printed and coloured her a few times so that I could layer her up a little.
She is sitting on a belly band that goes around this serviette fold card that I have made using a tutorial I saw at Beccy's Place (thanks Beccy!)
The papers used are all 'Merry Magic' by Dovecraft, and the frame that Neva is sitting on is by cArt-Us.
I put some money inside my card, before sliding over the belly band, then because I wanted this card to hang on the tree, I added ribbon to one corner...
A different way to give money (or a gift card) this Christmas.
Challenges entered:
ABC challenge - B for blue, bows and bling
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Extra - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - last christmas
Crafting By Designs - challenge 1 : wrap it up
Crafty Creations - anything goes
Inky Impressions - merry christmas
Simon Says Stamp - bling it on
Would you like to colour up this little beauty too? Click on the logo below and Neva can be yours with orders over $10

Thanks for stopping by today.......oooooh only 6 more sleeps to go..... ;)

'Dex' the halls with boughs of holly...
...Fa la la la laa...lala la laaa.
Are you all ready for Christmas? or are you a last minute Christmas shopper?
Well let's show you something to add to your Christmas wish list, or indeed something you may want to buy yourself as a little treat, well, you have been working very hard with your festive preparations that you deserve it don't you? ;)
There's a new release from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, that i'm sure you'll want to get your crafty hands on...
I just had to colour up this cutie straight away, this is Dexter Caroling.
I know, he's so adorable isn't he?
He's a Pollycraft image, which are now available from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
I've coloured Dexter with Promarkers.
The paper is from Carta Bella's 'Winter Fun' pack.
I used my Cart-Us frame dies behind the image, the white piece of this has been embossed with a snowflake folder.
The flowers were made from gold vellum using my SU boho blossoms punch.
I'd like to enter this card at:
That Craft Place - christmas
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Extra - anything goes
My Mums Craft Shop - Winter/Christmas
Passion for Promarkers - include a sentiment
But there's more... I couldn't resist colouring up another Dexter to show you today.
This is Dexter Lantern...
He looks so cool in his antler hat don't you think?
The papers are by Dovecraft (back to basics vintage christmas).
The leaves are punched from gold paper, I hope it's ok to extend them further up the side than the sketch given by Sketch Saturday.
'son' was die cut using my By the Letters dies, and I found a gold greeting in my stash which fit perfectly at the bottom.
I'm entering this card at:
Sketch Saturday - sketch
Here Come The Boys - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - christmas creatures

Before you go shopping to grab your favourites from this fab release, please stop by the LMM blog to see what gorgeousness the other little misses have created.
Happy shopping/crafting ;)

Bugaboo release at LMM
It's time for the Bugaboo Autumn release today at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, where you have a selection of cute new skelekinz images and a couple of fancy sunbonnet images to choose from.
Here is my card, using Skelekinz Balloon...
I coloured her with promarkers and then framed her using my cArt-Us ornate frame die.
I wanted to keep the layout simple so that I could have the image as the main focus, so I used a sketch from last weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
The spotty paper is by Dovecraft, from the Merry Magic paper pad.
To see more of today's new release, please go to the LMM blog to see the delightful cards made by the other Little Misses with these cute images.
Oh and there's still time to make a christmas card for our current challenge.
Click the link to find all the challenge details.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - we're going dotty
Thanks for looking :)

Perfect Christmas
It's time for a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet, and this time... We Wish You A Merry Christmas!
Yep, if you haven't already made a start yet, it's time to start thinking about it, we want to see Christmas cards please.
Here is my card, i've used Swings 'n Slides Perfect Christmas, a Pollycraft image available to buy in rubber from the LMM store...
The papers are all from the same paper pad by Basic Grey called 'life of the party'.
I've used 2 dies, ornate frame and drops border, both are by cArt-Us.
I stamped the ornate frame piece behind the image with a HOTP snowflake stamp.
The sentiment is a Catslife Press stamp, and 'MIKEY' was cut from some Hunkydory scrabble letter card tiles.
You can see the fantastic cards made by the other Little Misses and the challenge rules by visiting the Little Miss Muffet challenge blog.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Passion for Promarkers - one for the boys
Creative Card Crew - christmas
Crafting by Designs - anything goes

Sweet as Candy
It's Super Saturday over at Little Miss Muffet, so that means you can buy some rubber for a special discounted price, and you can also get your hands on a freebie too, this time, the freebie is Monster Vic,
you can see a couple of examples using Vic on the LMM blog.
My card today uses one of the spotlighted stamps...
So in the spotlight this week are the carnival sentiments and banners. You can buy the sentiment i've used on this card in the set Swings 'n Slides Carnival Sentiments #2
(and you can find set #1 HERE)
I teamed up the sentiment with Swings 'n Slides Cotton Candy,
but to be honest the sentiment would go with almost any other LMM stamp as they are all sweet.
The pretty heart paper is from a 6x6 pad called 'with love' by me to you.
I've used the dies ornate frame and drops border, both are by cArt-Us.
Have a fab weekend! It's my Mom's birthday today, and I offered to cook some buffet foods for the family, so that's what i'll be starting to do when this scheduled post goes live.
I baked a lemon drizzle cake today (meaning friday), Mom loves lemony flavours so I hope she'll like it, i'm dieting, but plan to have a little bit of it as it's the first time i've made this cake. I'm also going to be having a little bit of the date and walnut cake that my daughter has made for her Nan. My Mom's fave cake :)
I'd like to enter this card at:
Crafty Sentiments - make it girly
Pollycraft Challenge - for the kids
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Charisma Cardz - just one (one image, one sentiment, one colour...)
UPDATE: Thank you! xx
