Mom's 70th

Today is my beautiful Mom's 70th birthday :)
This is the card I have made for her...

I've used Daisy, one of the Polka Dot Pals from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
I've coloured the image with promarkers.
Daisy is framed using a Spellbinders 'Elegant Ovals' die, large die cut flowers also by Spellbinders (Pretty Petals B), and a Woodware ash leaf punch. I glued some flat back silver pearls to the centre of the flowers.
The papers are both from a pad called 'Sunny Side' by Pebbles Inc. I separated these usind a cArt-Us border die (Fountain), and stitched ribbon by SU.
Mom was die cut using Die-namics By The Letter dies.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Crafty Catz - old stamp (this is from 2013)

Laura's 24th

** If you are looking for my stop on this month's blog hop with From The Heart Stamps, please scroll down, thanks! **

Today is my younger daughter's 24th Birthday. Happy Birthday to Laura :)
Laura said that she wanted a pink, girly card this year...

One of our memories of Laura as a little girl is of her wearing her floppy denim hat, so whilst browsing through my stamps and images, I decided to use Fancy Sunbonnet Flowers, which is a bugaboo image, made in rubber for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
I've teamed this little cutie with papers by Echo Park; Be Mine & Little Girl.
I've used my swiss dots embossing folder, an 'Elegant Ovals' frame die by Marianne Creatables, and 2 punches from Stampin Up; scalloped border, and boho blossoms, which was used along with its matching stamp set 'One of a Kind'.
The sentiment is computer generated.

And here is Laura's card which Jake gave to her...

The patterned paper used is also by Echo Park, from the Love Story collection.
I used my cropadile to cut and set the eyelets, then scored a piece of white card for the 'toe' end.
'sister' is a word die by Clearly Besotted Stamps.

Happy Birthday Flissy! xx

Thanks for stopping by today, enjoy your weekend :)

Fa La La La La...

Good Morning :)
Here's my 3rd card as a guest designer for the I♥ProMarkers challenge blog.
This week, we want you to use your favourite Christmas song or Christmas carol as inspiration for your entry please.
This weeks fab sponsor is Polka Doodles.

How cute is this image? it's Dexter Caroling, a Pollycraft image, that you can buy from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

Songbook - pastel green & soft green.

First Edition 'Nordic Christmas', and BoBunny 'Silver & Gold Collection' (the "red" piece!).
The ornate square frame is a Lea'bilities die (Leane 005 Frame Curve).
The holly was die cut using an old Quickutz die, I used shiny red brads for the berries.

Thanks, Little Misses.

There's a new challenge starting today over at Little Miss Muffet. This time it's a colour challenge, Blue & Green.
Today is also my last make as a member of the design team, so I decided to make a thank you card which I am dedicating to all of the Little Misses, both on the blog and on facebook, with thanks for their inspiration, support, friendship and kindness. Special extra thanks to Barbara for trusting in me and giving me the opportunity to showcase her amazing images, and to Faye, for organising everything, for all the fun you bring with it, and for not glittering me! lol... Love you girls! xx
I'd also like to thank those of you who have left such lovely comments for all of my LMM makes over the past 16 months xx

No image today, I've used the Clothes Line Metal Die to show you another way to use this die as well as with the range of hanging clothes images. Just a way to get a little more out of your die :)
If you have this die, you may have noticed that it doesn't have as many pegs here, I decided to snip off the pegs that I didn't need. Of course you don't have to do this, it's just that I wanted one peg per letter for this card.
The letters were cut using Dienamics By The Letter dies, and adhered to the card with foam pads.
I raided my scraps tub of papers that I thought went well together, staying within the blue & green challenge theme.
From left to right, they are: First Edition, Hideaway..... Sizzix, Little Sizzles, Country..... Lawn Fawn, Peace Joy Love..... Echo Park, Splash..... Dovecraft, Merry Magic..... Bella Gypsy, Moody Blues.
The flowers and leaves were made using a mix of punches.

I'm entering this card at:
The Pink Elephant - anything goes
Fantastic Tuesday - anything goes
Inky Impressions - anything goes
Creative Inspirations - flower power

You'll find the challenge rules, a place to link up your entry and awesome inspiration by the Little Misses on the challenge blog.

Meet Kiki...

It's time for another Inspiration Thursday, where you can see what the Little Misses have been making for this week over on our LMM Facebook Group.
Here's my card...

This is Kiki Ice Cream, one of the new releases in the store this week. I coloured her with promarkers.
I looked through my scraps tub for my papers, there's more and more being added to the tub all the time, so I must make the effort to use some of these papers up.
These patterned papers are both originally from the same collection by Stampin Up called 'Sweet Always', they have long been retired since though.
The greeting is also a retired Stampin Up product, this is from the 'Crazy for Cupcakes' stamp set.
I thought my Die-namics Flower and Leaf trio die matched the flower pattern on the DSP pretty well so added a couple of flowers and finished the card with some flat back crystals.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafty - anything goes

Baby Baby

It's time for a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet.
This time, as the title of my post suggests, we'd like to see your Baby themed projects please.
Here's my card...

I've used acetate across the front of this card, then embossed it with a cloud folder I received free with a craft magazine. I thought it would be an ideal backdrop for a baby washing line.
I die-cut the washing line using Clothesline Metal Die. You get extra pegs with this die, which I coloured with promarkers to make them look like wooden dolly pegs.
I've used images from Hanging Clothes Baby, and another image from Hanging Clothes Mother, fussy cutting them to hang on the clothesline.
I've used SU's eyelet border punch for the pretty edges. The green paper is by Nitwit.
'BABY BOY' was cut with Die-namics By The Letter dies.

Challenges entered:
I Love Promarkers - ribbons
Penny's Paper Crafty - anything goes
Inky Impressions - anything goes

Good morning, it's time for another Inspiration Thursday over on our LMM Facebook Group.

I made a little gift bag, I found a tutorial on You Tube, wrote down the measurements etc, then forgot to bookmark the video so that I can credit the maker, doh! I have a feeling it was a stampin up demo video though, if I find it again, i'll update this post.
I love this image, meet Broasca The Frog, available in rubber at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
I've coloured him with pencils.
The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye, Stella & Rose, Mabel. My peach card stock has been embossed with a folder from a pack of 4 folders by Cuttlebug (Heritage Companions set).

As you can see, i've used Snow White. I coloured the image using promarkers.
I stamped my background card using the apple from Stampin Up's "Tart n Tangy" stamp set, colouring directly to the stamp using my SU markers.
I die-cut some swirly stems using the Marianne Die, Anja's Vintage Swirls. The flowers were made using punches, then adding a flat-back pearl to the centre.

Cecilie

Good morning everyone!
It's Inspiration Thursday on the LMM Facebook Group today.

You may not recognise this cutie straight away, this is Polka Dot Pals Cecilie, but she has been to the hairdressers for a 'trim'. Ok, so I messed up while colouring her hair and needed to give her a restyle. oops!

I decided to make a large painters palette for the backdrop, so I drew one onto some kraft card, cut it out, sponged the edges, then added blobs of acrylic paint before leaving to dry.
I wanted a plainish background, so chose this softly striped paper which is from a pad called Bonnets & Bowties and is by Lili of the Valley & Nitwit Collections.

I'm entering this card at:
The Cutie Pie Challenge - cute digi

Funky hair at LMM

Today is new challenge day over at Little Miss Muffet challenges. This time we want to see 'Funky Hair', no blondes, brunettes or red-heads (unless it's proper bright red), so let's see your blues, greens, purples etc.
Here's my card...

This pretty girl is Nimiane Mermaid, a digital stamp by Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
I've coloured her with promarkers. It was only after finishing the card that I thought I could have coloured her hair a different colour than aqua, maybe lilac would have looked good. The rocks were drawn in using promarkers too.
The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley, and the pretty scalloped trim by Stampin Up.
Hmmm, looking at it again now, I think i'll add a touch of lilac to the flowers in the sentiment.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Hobby Cutz Challenges - no designer paper
Paper Makeup - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
I love Promarkers - digi does it

Check out what the other Little Misses have made this week over at the challenge blog or on our facebook group.

Little Miss Sketches

Little Miss Muffet Stamps are sponsoring the new challenge at Sketch Saturday, (please pop over to Sketch Saturday for all the details) and this week, it's a special week...

Today, Sketch Saturday is celebrating 6 years!
I posted the very first sketch on the blog on 31st May 2008.
To start with, My intention was to just share my layouts with anyone who would like to use them to make a card. Then, just a few months later, Sketch Saturday had a design team and sponsors! Then it became a popular challenge blog loved by so many :)
I had a fantastic time in my 4 years there, and though I was sad to go, it was the right time to do so, to give SS a new injection of craftiness with a fresh design team and fresh sketches.

To help celebrate 6 years of sketches, we are having a Blog Hop! There are prizes hidden along the Blog Hop, so leave a comment at each stop on the Hop to maximize your chances of winning!

Hopefully you came here after seeing Jen's fabulous creation.

For my card, I used SS sketch #299...

This image is one of my faves, Birthday Bunny by Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
The pretty paper was free in a craft mag, it's from a pad called Bonnets & Bowties and is by Lili of the Valley & Nitwit Collections.
The sentiment is from Paper Smooches 'Sentiment Sampler' set
I used the smallest flower from my Die-namics flower and leaf trio die and added a blue flatback crystal to finish.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Lexi's Creations - happy birthday
The Pink Elephant - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Crafty Catz - anything goes

Please hop along next to Julie's blog, oh and don't forget to comment ;)

The sketch challenge (using any sketch between 215 and 311) and the Blog Hop end at 7pm UK/ 1pm US-CT time on the 6th June.
All winners will be announced on the Sketch Saturday blog, on Saturday, 7th June.
Good luck everyone :) xx

Here's the hop order...

If you'd like to join in with our current challenge (Anything Goes theme!) please CLICK HERE.

My card this week uses a recent new release... Rain Boot Bugs

I thought i'd make a stepper card this week as it's been a while since I last made one. After cutting and scoring, I decorated it with paper from Echo Park's 'Splash!' collection.
I coloured my image with promarkers.
I die-cut some swirly stems using the Marianne Die, Anja's Vintage Swirls. Then die-cut two flowers using the smallest flower from my Die-namics flower and leaf trio die, I added a bit of colour to get them to look similar to the yellow flower in the image.
The sentiment is by Paper Smooches, from the Sentiment Sampler set.
