Mom's 70th

Today is my beautiful Mom's 70th birthday :)
This is the card I have made for her...

I've used Daisy, one of the Polka Dot Pals from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
I've coloured the image with promarkers.
Daisy is framed using a Spellbinders 'Elegant Ovals' die, large die cut flowers also by Spellbinders (Pretty Petals B), and a Woodware ash leaf punch. I glued some flat back silver pearls to the centre of the flowers.
The papers are both from a pad called 'Sunny Side' by Pebbles Inc. I separated these usind a cArt-Us border die (Fountain), and stitched ribbon by SU.
Mom was die cut using Die-namics By The Letter dies.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Crafty Catz - old stamp (this is from 2013)
Crafting from the Heart - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp (Weds) - anything goes

Thanks for looking :)

Cecilie

Good morning everyone!
It's Inspiration Thursday on the LMM Facebook Group today.

You may not recognise this cutie straight away, this is Polka Dot Pals Cecilie, but she has been to the hairdressers for a 'trim'. Ok, so I messed up while colouring her hair and needed to give her a restyle. oops!

I decided to make a large painters palette for the backdrop, so I drew one onto some kraft card, cut it out, sponged the edges, then added blobs of acrylic paint before leaving to dry.
I wanted a plainish background, so chose this softly striped paper which is from a pad called Bonnets & Bowties and is by Lili of the Valley & Nitwit Collections.

I'm entering this card at:
The Cutie Pie Challenge - cute digi
SSS Monday Challenge - start from scratch (the painters palette)
Paper Makeup - anything goes
MAWTT - girls just wanna have fun

Thanks for looking, You can see more inspirational cards from my fellow Little Misses added to the group page throughout the day,

And remember, our current challenge, which is a sketch challenge, and a really lovely sketch it is too ;)

oooooh that's better...

Cats get so much enjoyment from a good stretch don't they? mind you they are asleep a lot of the time so suppose they feel the need to between naps lol

This fun image is Polka Dot Pals Feline Stretching, I coloured kitty using promarkers as a base then went over top with my pencils before fussy cutting out.
The sentiment, which is purrfect ;) could have been written with this image in mind eh? In fact, it's from TLC Creations from a while ago.
The frame was made by cutting a Lea'bilities die twice (Leane 005 Frame Curve), then gluing them back to back to make a stronger frame. I glued on a tab at the back so that the frame could stand up, then added a bit of bling for good measure as well.
The patterned paper is by My Mind's Eye, from the Quite Contrary collection, which is sadly, discontinued now :(  I do wish that MME would do digital versions of their retired collections, this one, and all of the Stella & Rose collections would be top of my list.

You can see what the other Little Misses have made to inspire you over on  the challenge blog or on our facebook group.
There's still a little under a week left for our current challenge too, it's Anything Goes, so there's no reason not to join in, eh? ;)

I'd like to enter this frame at:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - anything goes
Paper Makeup - pastel colours
Papertake Weekly - anything goes

SUPER Bro!

It's Little Miss Muffet time!
The challenge starting today is an easy peasy one...Anything Goes.
Have you seen the image i've used? No, it's not a new Polka Dot Pal image.
I asked for permission from Barbara if I could use 2 different PDP's to make this super hero because I wanted the image to have a different hair style.
Thank you Barbara, for allowing me to do this xx

So here he is, I have put Andy's head on Toby's body.

and here are the boys as they are in the shop...

PDP Andy PDP Toby

You can see all of the Polka Dot Pals range by clicking HERE.

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS ask for permission from the copyright holder BEFORE altering any image(s).

Saying that, if you would like to do this yourself with other PDP's, Barbara will allow you to, but please respect her Terms of Use, as doing so is strictly for personal use only, you cannot claim the altered image as your own.
Barbara enjoys seeing your creativity flow when using her images, but if you do have any questions please use the Contact Us form available on the store.

For my card, I opened up the Andy and Toby images in PSP (painshop pro). I used the png images, as they have no background, or white space, behind them.
I duplicated the Toby image so as not to accidently alter the original.
Next, I used the freehand tool to 'draw' around Andy's head,  then I copied and pasted the head as a new layer onto the Toby image. I then closed both my original images so that I only had the duplicated image in my workspace. I moved the head until it was in the correct position, once happy with that, I erased Toby's head from his layer, tidied up both images so that they looked like one, then merged the 2 layers and it's ready to print out and colour up :)
Alternatively, I could have just printed both images and used scissors to make the change, haha!

I've used papers that I bought years ago, they are that old that I can't remember the name of the pad nor the company they came from, and the front cover has long gone. I liked the sketchy look to them though and thought they would look good.
The sentiment is computer generated, then I hand cut the layers it's sitting on.
A few punched stars finished the card off nicely.

You can see more loveliness by visiting the other Little Misses over at  the challenge blog or on our facebook group.
We hope that you'll join us for this challenge.
Happy Crafting!

Glitter Girl!

Happy Birthday Faye xx

ooooh she can throw the glitter around like a pro! ;)
This new Polka Dot Pals image is named Faye and is in the store now, specially designed by Barbara to celebrate Faye's special day today, and for all us Little Misses to let her know how much we love her and appreciate her. Thanks for all you do Faye! xx
And thank you to Barbara for creating such a perfect image for us to use today :) xx

I have coloured Faye, the PDP, not the real Fluffster (that would be silly!), with my promarkers, and added extra details with SU markers and a white gel pen. I thought Faye would look good splashing around in the glitter, wearing pink, daisy patterned wellies, so I drew on the daisies with pens after colouring in the base colour.
Now I just had to use glitter on my card didn't I?, Barbara had already drew the glitter for us, so I coloured it in and then added SU dazzling diamonds over top. I also added glitter around her feet, and used pale yellow glitter card stock here and there too.
The patterned papers are all from a collection that I know Faye loves too; Echo Park's, Beautiful Life.

You can see what the other Little Misses have made with this fab image (and leave a birthday message for Faye if you would like to) by visiting the LMM blog or our Facebook page.

Faye is going to the parties at:
Passion for Promarkers - butterfly kisses (hope butterfly patterned paper counts)
I {heart} Promarkers - let's get spotty
Simon Says Stamp - mothers day/ SPECIAL GIRL
Cute Card Thursday - girls, girls, girls
Charisma Cardz - birthday girls

William

This card could not have been made without Barbara.
I was asked to make a card for a little boy who loves to play with his building blocks, "Modern and cute please", so I asked Barbara if she could help me out by drawing another PDP cutie that suited my needs, and let me tell you, she rocked it and drew him exactly how i'd imagined him to be, despite her busy schedule. Thank you Barbara, you're the best! xx....

This is William, he's been released today along with Lottie over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I teamed William up with this lovely starry paper from Bazzill Basics called Dino-mite, it's such an excellent quality paper that it's almost like card stock.
'William' has been cut using Die-namics By the Letter dies, and did you notice? That's an uppercase 'W' you see there, yes, I finally got my uppercase alphabet, happy girl here :)

As you're here, let me tell you about our month long Lucky Dip Daily Deal too...
$10 for a surprise selection of Digis, or $15 for a surprise selection of rubber stamps.
There's a new deal every day with each day's package being different.
How fabulous is that eh?

Thanks for looking, and I hope you love William as much as I do :)

Romeo

I love all of the Polka Dot Pals from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, they are such a joy to colour up.
Romeo was released last week, as soon as I saw him I knew that I wanted to use him for my card for the new 'love' challenge starting today over on the LMM Blog...

awww he's all loved up for Valentines day :)
I coloured Romeo with my promarkers, then used my new Marianne heart dies to frame around him, but noticed after cutting that the die had left a crease across his trousers, so I grabbed my pencils and watercolour brush and went over them again, the result being darker trousers than I originally wanted, but they look better now that the crease is less noticeable.
The patterned paper is by Bazzill Basics from a pad called Nordic Pines. Once layered onto the red mirror card, I paper pierced all around the edge and dragged a brown marker through the holes for some faux stitching.
The wide brown ribbon was off a box of chocolates, knew it would come in handy.
The extra embellishments are all from my stash.
No sentiment has been added, I don't think it needs one, so this card could also be used for an anniversary as well as Valentines.

Need some inspiration for your own valentines/love themed card? check out what the other Little Misses have made this week.

I'm entering Romeo in the following challenges:
My Mums Craft Shop - love
Sweet Stampin - in stitches
The Pink Elephant - love
Passion for Promarkers - anything goes
I Love Promarkers - love is in the air

Thanks for looking, have a lovely day x

Smile...

...it's the weekend! :)

Today is a very special day at Little Miss Muffet as we've not only combined the Super Saturday post with some awesome Guests, but we have a very special fundraiser going on too!  Barbara's daughters, Cassandra and Lydia, are participating in a "Jump Rope for Heart" activity at their school where kids learn jump rope skills and raise money for the American Heart Association

Learning about a healthy heart at school really hit home for her girls, especially when it came with a connection to a few close family members.  For example, their cousin Ryker had open heart surgery when he was only 6-months-old!  He is now a teen and doing great!  He loves many activities including photography and was the inspiration for a new image Barbara has drawn for today... meet Polka Dot Pals Ryker.

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/Polka-Dot-Pals-Ryker_p_1109.html

This image is available in the Little Miss Muffet Stamp store but the best part about him is you can also help Barbara's daughters in their fundraiser!  How, you might ask?  There are two ways!  First, for every PDP Ryker purchase, LMMS will donate $2.00 to Cassandra and Lydia's fundraiser!  Secondly, you can also donate directly on the American Heart Association website to their individual fundraiser page by visiting these links:

But wait, there's more!  That's not the only image you'll get in the package - there are two other very special images.  Those two were drawn and colored by Cassandra and Lydia themselves!  They've entered their artwork into the T-shirt Design Contest for next year's Jump Rope for Heart.  Maybe they'll win, maybe they won't, but the fun was in creating and now you can create with them too!  Both colored and uncolored versions are included.

http://www.littlemissmuffetstamps.com/Polka-Dot-Pals-Ryker_p_1109.html

Thank you for being a part of this fundraiser and we hope you can take action to have a healthy heart even if it isn't via jump rope.  Spread the word and share your creations online in the current LMMS Challenge and/or in the FaceBook LMMS Group too!  Looking for other activity based stamps to play with this weekend?  Then you might also enjoy these other Little Miss Muffet Stamps that feature heart healthy activities such as bicycling, sports, winter fun, playing and even house cleaning!  Oh yeah!

Here is my card using the adorable Ryker...

Ryker has been coloured with promarkers then fussy cut out, which, by the way, is our current challenge theme too ;)
The ledger paper is from My Mind's Eye 'Hattie' paper pad (think that's my last piece *sobs!*), I found the spotty piece in my ice cream scraps tub but I can't recall which company it's from... I mean the company of the paper... the ice cream was Asda's, probably mint choc chip or raspberry ripple ;)
I set 3 eyelets using my cropadile, and die cut 'smile' using my By The Letter dies.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Kaboodle Doodles - use blue colour
Shopping Our Stash - winter blues
I Love Promarkers - one for the boys
Charisma Cardz - it's a boy thing
Totally Papercrafts - one for the boys

What a fuss!

There's a new release AND a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet today :)
There's some real cuties in today's release, Polka Dot Pals and Sugar 'n Spice Dolls, and for those of you who like the Tangled Flowers Border, you may just fancy colouring up the 2 new tangled border images too.
Here is one of them, Tangled Arch Border...

I've teamed it up with Polka Dot Pals Feline Sitting, then coloured the arch and a few extra sections of it again to fussy cut out and layer up on this card. Which brings me nicely along to tell you about the new challenge (and the reason for the title of this post), we want you to fussy cut (cut out) your image this time please.
You can see my fussy cutting better in this pic...

The paper beneath the arch is by sizzix (little sizzles - country) and the greeting is by Stampin Up ('bring on the cake' stamp set)

Don't forget to stop by the LMM blog to see what the other Little Misses have made this week too. I'm sure they will inspire you to join in this fun challenge :)

Neva

There's no challenge this week from Little Miss Muffet,
instead, the Little Misses will be sharing some inspirational cards with you.
You may recognise this little cutie from our Challenge Blog and Facebook group. Neva is an exclusive Polka Dot Pals image that Barbara will send to you for free if you place an order over $10, isn't she lovely? thanks Barbara, a HUGE Merry Chistmas to you and your family xx
Here's what i've done with Neva...

I printed and coloured her a few times so that I could layer her up a little.

She is sitting on a belly band that goes around this serviette fold card that I have made using a tutorial I saw at Beccy's Place (thanks Beccy!)
The papers used are all 'Merry Magic' by Dovecraft, and the frame that Neva is sitting on is by cArt-Us.

I put some money inside my card, before sliding over the belly band, then because I wanted this card to hang on the tree, I added ribbon to one corner...

A different way to give money (or a gift card) this Christmas.

To be in with a chance of winning some LMM images for yourself, please use any image from Little Miss Muffet Stamps, but of course if you want to join in just for fun instead, then that would be great too, we love to see your take on our challenges.

This image is Polka Dot Pals Chrissie, i've added one of the ready faces and framed her using the shoelace border which has been released today to coincide with our challenge.
After colouring everything with promarkers, I punched out a circle from some scrap paper and placed the 'hole' over the lantern so that I could sponge over top with yellow ink to create the candle glow.
I kept the design simple with a kraft card blank and paper by Basic Grey (life of the party).
'sister' was die cut using Die-namics By The Letter dies.

Seeing Dots

Like many of you, I love the Polka Dot Pals. So when I heard that the new challenge at Little Miss Muffet is 'Seeing Dots' I knew straight away where to look for my image. Only problem is choosing which one because they are all so cute!...

This is Katie. I love her ringlet pig tails, and isn't she cuddling just the cutest puppy ever?
As usual, I coloured the image with my promarkers.
The dotty paper is by My Mind's Eye, from their Lime Twist - Life of the Party paper pad. I just love the colours in this collection.
The sentiment is from Create with TLC, I thought it suited the image perfectly.
I finished off with a small punched heart, awwww puppy love :)

I've really been looking forward to telling you about this new release from Little Miss Muffet Stamps,
and now I can! YAY!
There's more new Polka Dot Pals released today :)
and they are just as adorable too, and now you can add some ready made faces if you don't feel confident enough to draw them yourself...

Meet Issie, she has been coloured with promarkers, and i've added one of the faces to her.
The sky has been sponged. Then I added some white flock for the snow at the bottom.
The snowflake paper is from Dovecraft's merry magic paper pad with a strip of paper from First Edition's silent night pad at the bottom. I paper pricked around the papers and drew on my 'stitches' with a red marker.
The sentiment is computer generated, next to this i've added some snowballs, which are little pompoms cut off a scrap of ribbon.

Pink & Grey

Today sees a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet, which this time is a colour challenge - Pink & Grey, such a lovely colour combo. Here's my card...

This beautiful little girl is Daisy, she's from the Polka Dot Pals range of characters available in the store.
Daisy is coloured with promarkers. The grey patterned paper used on the background and on Daisy's belt and hairband is MME Stella & Rose 'Hattie'. To keep with the dotty theme I embossed the plain pink cardstock with my swiss dots folder, and then cut out a rectangle for the image to sit behind, next, more dots were added with some card candi.
I wrapped some pink seam binding around and tied a bow, adding the daisy charm to the knot.
The little scrap of pink spotty paper used on the balloon is by Stampin Up (sweet always).

Little Daisy is entered into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - child's play
I Love Promarkers - 3 different shapes
Crafting By Designs - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - emboss it

You can find the challenge rules and more fabulous inspiration by the other Little Misses on the challenge blog

BOING!!...

How much fun is this image!!

I used to have a spacehopper when I was a kid, I may have mentioned it before ;)
So when Barbara showed us todays new release from Little Miss Muffet Stamps I knew straight away which image I wanted to colour up first :)
Her name is Sally, and she's one of the Polka Dot Pals (which as you know by now, are a FANTASTIC range of digi stamps!)
I wanted bright, fun colours for this card and there's none much brighter than these neon colours eh?
I coloured Sally with promarkers, but used a SU marker to add some shadows and texture to her hair.
This image doesn't need much else added because the image is fun enough on its own, perfect for a quick card make, so I just layered the paper and cardstocks used, punched the bottom edge (SU eyelet border punch) and wrote out the sentiment, et voila!

You can see more of this fun new release by checking out what the other Little Misses have made on the LMM blog.
And there's still time to enter our sketch challenge too, click the link to find the details, now that the kiddies are back at school we'd love to see more of you join in :)

I'd like to enter this card at:
Bearly Mine Challenges - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - anything goes

Thanks for looking xx

Sketch challenge at LMM

That's right, today's challenge over at Little Miss Muffet is a fabby sketch, here's what I did with it...

I've used the digi stamp Polka Dot Pals Andy for my card this week and coloured him with promarkers, I chose this image because it reminds me of the cute little boy who will be receiving it.
I wanted the colours to be bright and cheerful and I was drawn to these Echo Park digi papers (called Playground Paper Pack #2) for that very reason.
I checked, and I actually bought these papers 2 years ago!! Clearly about time I used them eh?
I printed the image a few times so that I could 3D it slightly, you can't see in the photo, but the main body, head, then hair and hands are layered with glue rather than foam pads because I prefer a more subtle layering for images like this one, the end result looks more natural I think.

It's your turn now, let's see your creations :)
You'll find the challenge rules and more inspiration by the other Little Misses on the challenge blog.
