Mother's Day cards.

These are the cards that I made this year for my Mom.

I used the outline stamps from Peony Bouquet by Altenew, stamped with old paper distress ink, then coloured them with promarkers.
The spotty paper is by Dovecraft, Back to Basics (Baby Steps)
I used the largest die from Spellbinders 'Elegant Ovals', which has a sentiment is from DigiStamp Boutique printed on to it. MOM was die-cut using By the Letter dies (Die-namics)

Here's the card that Jake gave to his Nan...

I used the floral stamps from 'Gift of Love' by Stampin Up, adding a little more shading with promarkers.
The heart is a Marianne die (CR1225), stamped with a sentiment from a LOTV stamp set (digi version HERE), and NAN added using alphabet dies by Tattered Lace.
The stripy paper is by Dovecraft, Back to Basics (Bright Spark)

Happy birthday to my Dad.

My Dad is celebrating his 75th birthday today :)
Here are the cards that i've made for him...

I paper pieced this design using strips of paper from Lawn Fawn's pint sized patterns (Beachside).
The flames are die-cut leaves from Die-namics Flower & Leaf Trio die set, then sponged at the bottom of the flame for a slightly more realistic look. The numbers are Die-namics By the Number dies.
The background was simple distress ink blending.
I added a little sparkle to the number, card edges, and flames, with a clear glitter brush pen.

The following card was made for Jake to give to his Grandad...

I've used dies from Die-namics for this card too (Tool Charms). Grandad is actually a Grandson die from Crafts Too that I cut twice to piece together.
The Sentiment is from a Papermania stamp set (Father's Day).
The papers used here are both from Craftwork Cards 'Man Made' paper pad.

Thanks for stopping by today xx

Hey Connor!

Our grandson, Connor, giggles when he watches Hey Duggee on the tv, so I paper pieced the character from the show for his birthday card from Uncle Jake...

I used Die-namics By The Letter dies (and a By The Number die) to go around the Tim Holtz (Sizzix) stitched oval.
The paper is by Doodlebug (Hip Hip Hooray).

Baby Boy .... is ONE!

We're celebrating our darling little grandson's birthday today!
Connor is such a happy little chap, always smiling and giggling. He's standing up by himself, and walking around the furniture and with his walker, hence why i'm using this adorable image for his card...

It's a LOTV stamp called Baby Boy. You can't buy the rubber stamp from the website anymore, but they do sell the Digi Stamp version. I coloured this little cutie with my promarkers.
The papers are all by Lawn Fawn, from 2 pads, Let's Polka in the Meadow & Perfectly Plaid (Rainbow).
Grandson is a Crafts Too die, and the number is by Die-namics.

I'd like to enter this card at:

Fab Flowers

I treated myself to this Fab Flowers stamp set by Lawn Fawn, and chose to make this card using some warm colours...

I used Memento Dew Drop inks, hand cut them out and layered them to make this bouquet.
The text paper is MME's Stella Rose 'Mabel' (an old, retired collection).
The sentiment is a Birthday Banners die by Tonic Studios.

Inlaid roses

I bought a rose die recently, I wanted to make a clean card for my friend's birthday using just white card, the die, promarkers, and a greeting. Oh and a few Nuvo drops to finish...

I die cut the rose 3 times from the same base card, overlapping the bottom 2 roses, then coloured the inner pieces with Promarkers. I added double-sided tape to another piece of card and attached it to the inner side of the front of the card, exposing the areas where the die cuts needed to puzzle piece back into place.
It's by no means perfect, but I like it, and that's the whole point of a handmade card anyway. I'll be having another go at this technique soon.

Football Bears

I do love Lili of the Valley's cute images, and these Football Bears are no exception...

I don't think you can buy this stamp from the website anymore, I bought mine from their Ebay outlet shop.
I coloured the bears in West Bromwich Albion's colours for a friend who's a fan of the club (We won't mention the terrible season they're having eh?)
Paper is Stella Rose 'Hattie' by MME.
Die cut football is an old Quickutz one (Soccer Ball).
