Postage art...

... is this weeks challenge over at Inchy By Inch, and this week there is blog candy up for grabs!! kindly donated by Nina Perrin at Purple Faerie Paper Crafts.
I printed out a postage stamp design with a christmas theme, cut it out, and stuck it to a red glittered inchy blank, then added a sprig of holly and made a 'santa belt' cut from card and stuck across a corner.
I wanted to add a 'fur' edge using cotton wool but then it would have been bigger than an inch squared, so thought about adding white 3D paint to the edge, but I couldn't find any to hand, so had to leave it as it is.

My Dads card...

This weeks challenge from Papertake weekly is called 'One for the fellas'
I have made my Dad a fathers day card, using another image that I received from my friend Storm, this one is called 'Cool Edwin' I believe. He doesn't usually have a tash but as my Dad does, I drew one on lol.

Recycling - a "Bootiful" pot

Arty Girlz asked us to recycle something, i'm just in time for this weeks challenge, although Julie and Crissi have asked us to continue to recycle and show is our work as and when we do, great idea girls!
I used an old gravy granules pot, I glued the lid to the bottom of the pot for extra strength, used Rusty Pickle paper and green raffia, then added 3 Bootiful Stampz maggie images and a large peeking bunny stamp to decorate. I now have a Bootiful pot to house my brush pens :)

Birds of a feather...

...this is the challenge over at Tilda & Friends ATC challenge blog.
My friend Storm swapped some magnolia images with me, and Tilda with bird was one of these images, thank you Storm.
I have used K&Co Isabella papers as a background to this ATC.

Katharina's Sketch

Katharina has provided another great sketch for us, this time the sketch is for Cute Card Thursday
I have used this fairy image, admittedly not the usual cutesy rosy cheeks and dimples image but I think she's a cute fairy all the same.

A first birthday card

This weeks Papertake weekly challenge is another sketch! Yay!!! (I love sketches)
This sketch is of course by the extremely talented Katharina.
I recently received some Baby Tingla and Baby Alvin images, and wanted to use one of them on a card, I also have some epoxy stickers in my stash of baby footprints and handprints and when I saw the sketch, saw the 2 circles and thought ahhhhh i know what i'll do!!
So here is the result, I shall keep this card for my friends little boys first birthday in september.

Inchy By Inch - Places

This weeks challenge by Inchy By Inch is places.
I have made an inchy of my home town, Dudley.
Firstly there's a picture of Dudley Castle, which is also home to Dudley Zoo, hence why i've added the zoo's logo and a little penguin charm hanging from the ribbon.

A collection of challenges!

I didn't have any PSP work to do yesterday so I caught up with a few challenges.
Here are my entries...

Tilda & Co - Black and white
I like how this card has turned out, I drew the amp that Edwin is sitting on, the guitar is a die cut (Ellison thin cuts)

Inchy By Inch - Faces
Apart from the faces on my Maggie and Tilda stamps I don't really have anything that I could use for this challenge, so decided to draw on an inchie and colour it in.... picasso style LOL!

Papertake Weekly - Lime and lilac
A lovely colour combination imo, for this, I have used Bootiful Stampz Bunny Pocket stamp to make this ATC, I love this cute image! who can resist a bunny eh?

Arty Girlz - Travel/Places
I found this quite hard actually as I don't have a lot of stash on a travel theme, infact I would have preferred a cruise liner peel off or image instead of the yacht peel off. I got the definition from a book full of them that I received from my friend Kim, it's made by paper pizazz 'definitions & words ephemera'.

Tilda & Friends - Glorious green
Green is my favourite colour and frogs are my favourite animal so I've combined the 2 to make this ATC, Tilda normally has wings and a crown but I cut them off for a different look, altho I must admit it looks like Tilda has a flower crown now!

Cute Card Thursday - Vacation/Travel
Aaargh! another travel theme! .... LOL!
I couldn't submit the same one as my Arty Girlz entry, cos this is CUTE card thursday, so decided to use another cute Bootiful Stampz design, this time Cozzy Maggie on holiday, she is coloured in using brush markers. The bucket and spade are both Quickutz dies, the waves stamp used in the vertical stripe is by Tanda Stamps and is from their pirates set 2 sheet of unmounted rubber stamps. Flower from my stash.

Phew! thats it (for now)
I'm off to check my emails and then hopefully make a few more samples for Bootiful Stamps using the latest released images.

Piggy Birthday!

This weeks challenge for Cute Card Thursday is to use gems or jewels on your card.
I love this penny black image that I had in my stash, sadly I don't own the stamp itself though, ("party animals" i think it's called). I coloured it with watercolours, then added sequins to the top right corner and added the jewels dangling from the ribbon at the side. I didn't add a greeting as the image screams out "PARTY!!!" lol.

BUGS!!

Here's my entry to this weeks Tilda and Friends ATC challenge. The theme is bugs! I don't have any magnolia bugs/insects stamps so I pinched these ladybird and flower stickers off some jolee's photo corner stickers. The background is a blue ATC blank that I chalked to tone it down, then drew a tree stump (badly lol) added Edwin and the flowers and ladybirds.
I think it turned out ok actually :)

PTW- accordian card

This weeks challenge over at Papertake weekly is called Claudia's accordian card tutorial.
Mine isn't the exact measurements as Claudia's but the principle is the same.
I actually used foam pads to lift Tilda from the base of the card, although the butterfly on the top was decoupaged using my usual silicone so it was less prominent.
I shall give this to my friend whose birthday is next month.

J stands for...

...well in this instance its Jade and Jewels!!
This weeks Inchy By Inch challenge is to make an inchy incorporating the initial of your name.
So I used a jade green cardstock, real jade gemstone chips around the edge and the letter J made from jewels (gems jems lol) all stuck down with diamond glaze.
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Fi!

Decoupage a Tilda...

Although I must admit it doesn't look like it on the photo (sorry)

Tildas hat is decoupaged on this ATC/topper (haven't decided if I want to mount it onto a card or not yet). I use silicone to decoupage as I prefer a subtle look instead of the deep lift given when using foam pads.

This is my entry for this weeks Tilda & Co challenge.

Happy Birthday Laura! xx

I have made this card for my daughter, Laura, who is 17 today!
Donna has asked us to use eyelets and natural materials this week over at Tilda & Co.
I have used my favourite double sided cardstock from Chatterbox (chateau upholstery)
and used dyed raffia to wrap around & thread through the eyelets.
I used my new Tilda in Paris stamp and paper pieced her clothes.

Hope you like it Laura! Happy Birthday...Luv ya! xxxxxxx
