An inch of rain...

My friend Fi from Inchy By Inch gave us the theme of rain or water for our inchies this week.
Here's mine, really easy one to make actually, 2 inchies punched from acetate and brown card, cut out the 'windows' from the brown inchy so that it looks like a window frame, adhere onto of the acetate inchy. Finally, add 'raindrops' using Anitas 3D clear gloss and leave to dry, et voila!

Stars in your inchies!

...Tonight Matthew, i'm gonna be...... a star! ;)
Well a 'trio of stars inchy' to be precise.
This week Fiona has asked us to add stars to our inchies, I used my x-cut star trio punch on black card then trimmed off a little from the sides before gluing it on top of a gold inchy blank. All I did after that was add a little glitter and get my white gel pen out...really easy one this week!

Autumn inchy...

I've just got this inchy completed in time as there will be a new challenge set tomorrow over at inchy by inch. The theme was 'Autumn Days'. I love autumn, it's my favourite season, we're surounded by all those wonderful warm golden bronze colours and the crisp fresh air.

I used a small oak leaf punch on a mixture of card and paper, then coloured parts of those punchouts with pencils to create my autumnal collection of leaves.

seeing circles!

This week, my good friend Fi from Inchy By Inch has asked us to use circles on our inchies.
Here is mine, I created my circles with circle punches, swiss dots embossing folder (tiny circles!) on the dark brown circle, and 2 different sizes of eyelets that I set with my cropodile.
Sorry, piccy is a bit fuzzy.

Beary Cool...

Inchy By Inch asked to see hats on our inchies this week.
I have used a bear stamp for mine, adding a hand drawn baseball cap to make him look 'beary cool' lol.

Stripes!

...is this weeks theme over at Inchy By Inch, I had all my christmas stash on my table (found them while tidying up my mess *blushes*) and saw the stripy scarf around this snowman on this stamp, and wanted to use it for this challenge, I added extra stripes around the edge and googly eyes for a fun effect.

Inchy By Inch challenge #12

This week Fiona has set us a challenge with a difference, to make your inchy/inchies with a travel theme and if possible to use them on a project too.

I grouped 6 inchies together and stamped a map onto them, I stamped the same map onto shrink plastic and shrunk it down to make the extra embellishment you can see.
I then stamped a copper atc blank with a couple of pirate themed stamps and then stuck the inchies onto the atc card, I then stamped a coin image on top of this and coloured it in with a gold gel pen, then stamped a ship, cut it out and stuck that on top too, finishing with the plastic map.

All pirate stamps that I used can be bought from Tanda Stamps.

Say it with........ an inchy!

Its challenge #10 this week for Inchy By Inch, and there's a fabulous prize up for grabs this week courtesy of Tanda Stamps...... a whole rubber sheet of inchy stamps, the sheet contains a whopping 35 images!!
I'm lucky enough to already have this fab set of inchies in my collection, and I thought it would be nice to use a couple of them to show the detail that you get even though each image is small and can fit on an inchy.
The theme of this weeks challenge is to make a thank you inchy, and a lovely way to say thank you is with flowers, so I've chosen oak leaf and daisy stamps to say "Thanks Tanda!"

Inchy By Inch #9

This week, Inchy by Inch has another guest designer, Carole, setting the challenge.
Carole has chosen Black and White as her theme and has done some amazing examples!

I have made 2 inchies this week...

This is simply a white inchy blank, stamped and doodled on, edged with black ink with a doodled butterfly on top

and this is my yin yang inchy, a black inchy with a smaller white square which I cut a few slots at the top of and added a shadowed edge to it, I then punched a circle, drew on the yin yang symbol and stuck on with silicone so that it is raised from the background a little.

I'm a Guest Designer!

Wooohoooo!

Yes, I have been asked by Fiona from Inchy by Inch, to be the first guest designer! how cool is that?! I'm very honoured to be asked Fi, thank you so much xx

I decided to make a sketch for this challenge, it's ok, it's not too hard, I do realise you have to work on a one inch piece of card! ;) Here it is...

and here is my inchy...

Hope you like the challenge! xx

inspired by a peg bag!

Yes..... a peg bag lol.
Fiona, from Inchy by inch, has shown us a photo of a Laura Ashley peg bag and asked us to use this as inspiration for our inchies this week,

"I'd love you to use it as your inspiration for your inchy this week. However you would like, maybe the colours, the flowers, maybe even the shape!"

I chose to use the flowers as inspiration, I got out my K&Co Isabella papers again and cut out the larger flower, stuck onto a different complimenting paper from the same pad, and also used a woodware fern punch for the leaves.

Hope you like it Fi ;)

I believe...

Do you?... this weeks challenge set by Inchy By Inch is fairies.
I received my copy of Cardmaking and Papercraft this week which had a free flower fairies stamp with it, I cut the fairy from the packaging around the stamp but her wings were a bit too big so I cut them away and stuck the fairy to a butterfly diecut instead.

Postage art...

... is this weeks challenge over at Inchy By Inch, and this week there is blog candy up for grabs!! kindly donated by Nina Perrin at Purple Faerie Paper Crafts.
I printed out a postage stamp design with a christmas theme, cut it out, and stuck it to a red glittered inchy blank, then added a sprig of holly and made a 'santa belt' cut from card and stuck across a corner.
I wanted to add a 'fur' edge using cotton wool but then it would have been bigger than an inch squared, so thought about adding white 3D paint to the edge, but I couldn't find any to hand, so had to leave it as it is.

Inchy By Inch - Places

This weeks challenge by Inchy By Inch is places.
I have made an inchy of my home town, Dudley.
Firstly there's a picture of Dudley Castle, which is also home to Dudley Zoo, hence why i've added the zoo's logo and a little penguin charm hanging from the ribbon.

A collection of challenges!

I didn't have any PSP work to do yesterday so I caught up with a few challenges.
Here are my entries...

Tilda & Co - Black and white
I like how this card has turned out, I drew the amp that Edwin is sitting on, the guitar is a die cut (Ellison thin cuts)

Inchy By Inch - Faces
Apart from the faces on my Maggie and Tilda stamps I don't really have anything that I could use for this challenge, so decided to draw on an inchie and colour it in.... picasso style LOL!

Papertake Weekly - Lime and lilac
A lovely colour combination imo, for this, I have used Bootiful Stampz Bunny Pocket stamp to make this ATC, I love this cute image! who can resist a bunny eh?

Arty Girlz - Travel/Places
I found this quite hard actually as I don't have a lot of stash on a travel theme, infact I would have preferred a cruise liner peel off or image instead of the yacht peel off. I got the definition from a book full of them that I received from my friend Kim, it's made by paper pizazz 'definitions & words ephemera'.

Tilda & Friends - Glorious green
Green is my favourite colour and frogs are my favourite animal so I've combined the 2 to make this ATC, Tilda normally has wings and a crown but I cut them off for a different look, altho I must admit it looks like Tilda has a flower crown now!

Cute Card Thursday - Vacation/Travel
Aaargh! another travel theme! .... LOL!
I couldn't submit the same one as my Arty Girlz entry, cos this is CUTE card thursday, so decided to use another cute Bootiful Stampz design, this time Cozzy Maggie on holiday, she is coloured in using brush markers. The bucket and spade are both Quickutz dies, the waves stamp used in the vertical stripe is by Tanda Stamps and is from their pirates set 2 sheet of unmounted rubber stamps. Flower from my stash.

Phew! thats it (for now)
I'm off to check my emails and then hopefully make a few more samples for Bootiful Stamps using the latest released images.

J stands for...

...well in this instance its Jade and Jewels!!
This weeks Inchy By Inch challenge is to make an inchy incorporating the initial of your name.
So I used a jade green cardstock, real jade gemstone chips around the edge and the letter J made from jewels (gems jems lol) all stuck down with diamond glaze.
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Fi!

Inchy By Inch challenge

There's a new inchy challenge blog on the block! It has been started up by my friend Fiona, and is called Inchy by Inch. Basically all you have to do is create a one inch by one inch piece of work.

"The first challenge is to incorporate a WORD on your inchy."

I wanted to use my fave frog stamp again cos I think he's so cute!!
Hope you like it Fi! and Best Wishes for your new blog xx
