Ha-bee Birthday
This card was initially made for this weeks Cute Card Thursday challenge, in which we have been asked to make a birthday card, yes as simple as that, thanks ladies, and also thanks to Sweet 'n' Sassy Stamps for the amazing blog candy that is up for grabs this week too! WOW!
I have used Bee Maggie from Bootiful Stampz on this card, and a HUGE fabric flower embellishment, the honeycomb backing paper I made myself on the computer, and I also printed the 'ha-bee birthday' sentiment and the 2 bees.

Now once i'd made this card I realised that it also qualifies for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge, Feelin HOT HOT HOT, in which we were asked to use hot colours on our projects this week, well that flower certainly looks like its giving off some heat to me!!

My Dads card...
This weeks challenge from Papertake weekly is called 'One for the fellas'

I have made my Dad a fathers day card, using another image that I received from my friend Storm, this one is called 'Cool Edwin' I believe. He doesn't usually have a tash but as my Dad does, I drew one on lol.

A first birthday card
This weeks Papertake weekly challenge is another sketch! Yay!!! (I love sketches)

This sketch is of course by the extremely talented Katharina.
I recently received some Baby Tingla and Baby Alvin images, and wanted to use one of them on a card, I also have some epoxy stickers in my stash of baby footprints and handprints and when I saw the sketch, saw the 2 circles and thought ahhhhh i know what i'll do!!
So here is the result, I shall keep this card for my friends little boys first birthday in september.

A collection of challenges!
I didn't have any PSP work to do yesterday so I caught up with a few challenges.
Here are my entries...
Tilda & Co - Black and white
I like how this card has turned out, I drew the amp that Edwin is sitting on, the guitar is a die cut (Ellison thin cuts)

Inchy By Inch - Faces
Apart from the faces on my Maggie and Tilda stamps I don't really have anything that I could use for this challenge, so decided to draw on an inchie and colour it in.... picasso style LOL!

Tilda & Friends - Glorious green
Green is my favourite colour and frogs are my favourite animal so I've combined the 2 to make this ATC, Tilda normally has wings and a crown but I cut them off for a different look, altho I must admit it looks like Tilda has a flower crown now!

Cute Card Thursday - Vacation/Travel
Aaargh! another travel theme! .... LOL!
I couldn't submit the same one as my Arty Girlz entry, cos this is CUTE card thursday, so decided to use another cute Bootiful Stampz design, this time Cozzy Maggie on holiday, she is coloured in using brush markers. The bucket and spade are both Quickutz dies, the waves stamp used in the vertical stripe is by Tanda Stamps and is from their pirates set 2 sheet of unmounted rubber stamps. Flower from my stash.

Phew! thats it (for now)
I'm off to check my emails and then hopefully make a few more samples for Bootiful Stamps using the latest released images.

Papertake Weekly - Lime and lilac
A lovely colour combination imo, for this, I have used Bootiful Stampz Bunny Pocket stamp to make this ATC, I love this cute image! who can resist a bunny eh?
I found this quite hard actually as I don't have a lot of stash on a travel theme, infact I would have preferred a cruise liner peel off or image instead of the yacht peel off. I got the definition from a book full of them that I received from my friend Kim, it's made by paper pizazz 'definitions & words ephemera'.

PTW- accordian card
This weeks challenge over at Papertake weekly is called Claudia's accordian card tutorial.
Mine isn't the exact measurements as Claudia's but the principle is the same.
I actually used foam pads to lift Tilda from the base of the card, although the butterfly on the top was decoupaged using my usual silicone so it was less prominent.
I shall give this to my friend whose birthday is next month.

Claudia's Box Challenge...
Claudia has set the challenge this week at Papertake... at first glance it looks a really hard task to do, but as promised, it was really quite easy to put together.
I made a gift box for my daughter Emma's pending 18th birthday on the 23rd (St George's Day).
My other daugther, Laura, was born on May 1st (May Day) a year later.
Funnily enough my birthday is March 1st (St David's Day)
and my son Jake, almost made it to a saints day too, he was 3 days early otherwise he would have been born on St Andrews Day!!...which coincidently was my late MIL's birthday too!
Ok, sorry, I went off topic there a bit, lol... This is the box I have made for Emma, I put an acetate window in the lid to give a sneaky peek of the prezzie inside, but not gonna say what is going in the box incase Emma reads this.
Laura..... zip it, not a word, and hopefully Emma won't see this box until the big day ;)
(Emma doesn't blog-hop)
The flowers I bought from The One Stop Scrapbooking Shop and the ribbon was bought from Molly Daydream. Pussy cat, numbers, eyelets and brads from my stash.

Papertake's making waves
Over at Papertake this week, we've been asked to use scallops or zig-zags.
I did start by making a water themed card using scalloped paper for the water, but whatever I did I just wasn't happy with it, so it ended up in the bin.
I then started making this card and used my new purple cows duo cutter to make the scalloped edge to the 2 backing mulberry squares.
I shall probably add a number to the balloon when I know the age of the recipient.

Papertakes Sketch challenge
Onto another challenge (I'm on a roll today lol, making up for lost time)
Theres another template/sketch to follow this week at Papertake weekly.
The sketch is from the very talented Katharina.
Here is my card, I chose to use a Bunny Stamp from Bootiful Stampz and after cutting him out, gave him a tiny fabric teddy, ahhhh!
I stamped the nappy pins and dummies onto the top rectangular section, I will add a greeting to this another time as it could be used as a new baby card or a first birthday card.

Challenge entries...
This weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly is 'spring in your step' and this week there's also some fabulous bunny stamps up for grabs! sponsored by Bootiful Stampz.
Obviously, as I already have a set of these wonderful stamps I don't expect this card to be entered into the prize draw, I did however, want to make a card with a 'spring' theme... Bunnies and daisies!..
I have used lilac pearlescent card and Rusty Pickle 'weathered daisy' paper. I punched some white flower shapes and coloured in the centre of them yellow. I stamped 6 blanket bunny images, coloured them in then stamped the word SPRING onto the blankets, which could also be postage stamps or picture frames too eh? - see? these stamps are so versatile!
Good luck in the challenge!

The fresh, simple looking card below I have made for my friend's birthday. Over at Arty Girlz this week the challenge is 'Green', to have the colour green in your project. The flash on my camera has made the floral paper on this card look more yellow than the lime green that it actually is. I cut the word FRIEND and the flowers with my cricut, and again in a dark jade colour using the shadow option to create a border around the floral paper. I used pale jade card as a backing which I stuck to a white card blank. I finished the card with a stamped greeting.

Challenge cards...
Here are my cards for this weeks challenges. Firstly, this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge which this week is 'simply stripes', I used my cricut to cut the large flower and handcut the leaves, the 'happy birthday' greeting is a stamp that was a freebie from a mag.

And here is my card for this weeks Arty Girlz challenge, this week the theme is 'Stamping'. Crissi & Julie asked us to use any stamps that are in our collection. I used my inkadinkadoo 'a kid like me' stamps, I love the little jumping girl stamp and used it to create a cartwheel effect, the word 'friend' is also from this set. The leaves and flowers were stamped using the stamps that came with my fiskars stamp press.

Papertake weekly challenge...
Here is my card for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge. This weeks theme is 'Blooming Gorgeous' and we are to use florals in our work, I chose punched flowers to adorn this birthday cake card, the inspiration for the card was taken from a magazine, when I saw it I thought how lovely! and wanted to try summat similar myself. I also think that this card design would look great for a wedding card.

my latest cards...

The card above is for my parents wedding anniversary in March.
My friend Karen put a link to a site that generates great background designs using different fonts, colours and images, it is called typoGenerator if you would like to try it for yourself. Now, as much as I enjoyed playing about with this program I just had to have a go myself on PSP (paintshop pro), I used lots of layers and came up with this background paper. I love it and it looks so fab that I'm going to make my own backing papers wherever possible now! I hand cut the large hearts and used a punch for the tiny ones, finished with a hand written greeting.
I just found a fab site and this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge is 'hearts desire' so this will be my entry also.
Well I loved that colour scheme so much that I had to make another card! This is for a friends birthday - not gonna say who cos I don't want to spoil the surprise ;)
I used punched flowers to decorate, used the magnolia gift with flower stamp, then decided I wanted another gift but didn't have a stamp that I could use so I drew the rectangular gift by hand using the magnolia one as inspiration. I think it turned out quite well actually, pity I can't say the same for the wonky photo!...

The following card is for the new arrival in our family, yes I know I made a baby boy card lol, but that was because my hubby's niece said she was having a boy!
Baby (girl) Taylor was born 29.01.08
I have used one of the bunny stamps from Bootiful Stampz these stamps are so versatile!
