Saturday sweetness

Mornin!
It's time for another Sketch Saturday challenge :)

This week we're sponsored by our fabulous regular sponsor, Simon Says Stamp, and you could win a whopping $25 to spend in store if you're our challenge winner this week.

Here's my card...

The image is from the Penny Black clear stamp set, 'piece of my heart' and has been coloured with promarkers.
The papers are by Stampin Up (sweet always DSP)
The sentiment is from an inkadinkado birthday sentiment set.
I punched out the scalloped border with my SU eyelet border punch.
Then punched the flowers and leaves, assembled them, adding a crystal gem to the centre of each flower, finally, adding a band of crystals across the card for a bit more birthday bling.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges at:

Papertake Weekly - Grow your own (homemade flowers)
Spoonful of Sugar - Happy Birthday
Crafty Sentiments - punches & die cuts
Bling it on - A,B,C (Animals, Bling (gems), chocolate/candy)
my second entry for this month's challenge

Thanks for stopping by today, I do hope that you will stop by the challenge blog to see the amazing work by The Saturdays too.

Penny Black challenge #17

There's a great sketch to follow this week over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge :)
It's quite a dull day here today so the photo isn't too good, but here is my card..

I have used 'Family Translation' paper by Creative Imaginations, then used my cuttlebug embossing folders and soft silver shadow ink on the grey & dolphin blue papers.
The 'lace' was made with a corner punch (removed the corner guide off the punch first of course)
The lovely duck image is coloured with watercolours.

Stars 'n' Stripes..

..is the theme for this weeks challenge over at Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
Apart from having a few images stamped for me, I actually own just one PB stamp at the moment and this is it, 'bear blank 1', He's so adorable though don't you think? I stamped the 'blank' with a tiny 'birthday wishes' greeting, from a set of montage stamps from Stamps Away.
He is standing on top of the 'u' in the word Auntie, which I made up from rub-ons which are from K&Co. The striped paper is from my stash, as are the gold brads. I punched out a few leaves and used them with some tiny paper flowers to make the birthday bouquet.

PBchallenge - sketch

Some of you may know that I don't possess any penny black stamps, well truthfully, I now have one stamp that I bought a couple of weeks ago, but I do have some images that have been stamped already for me. I presume this kitty with present image is a PB one, well I hope so as i've used it for this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge! The present had tiny circles on it so I coloured them in to make them look like xmas puds! which I echoed with the 3 puds on the left.
the patterned paper is from Dovecraft, but I forget the name of the collection, was from one of their 6x6 72pce stack.

Down on the farm

is the theme this week at Penny Black Saturday Challenge, I like this sheep friends image, isn't it cute? I've used an assortment of papers and punched flowers and leaves, the sentiment is a 'stamps away' stamp

Snow much Fun!

... is the theme over at Penny Black Saturday challenge blog, the ladies have asked us to have a snow theme to our projects this week.
and WOW! this weeks prize is awesome! the 12 days of christmas PB stamps!!!

Here is my entry, I chose to make this post-it note keyring.
I saw this tutorial on you tube, HERE is the link, I loved it so much that I bought some post-it notes straight away. and its so easy to make, altho a cropodile is essential to get a perfect cut through all the pages.
My snow is created by Jones Tones 3D paint, I also added a few stamped snowflakes around hedgy and altho I haven't shown a piccy of the back cover, it is also stamped with tiny snowflakes.
I also added my own little touch by adding the bead and snowflake charm.

Hope you like it?

Hello, My Friend

This is my first time entry for Penny Black Saturday Challenge, it's only the second challenge they've set, but I couldn't take part last week as we were asked to use our first PB stamp, and as I don't own any PB stamps (yet!), just a few images, I had to sit last weeks challenge out :(
However! I can take part this week!! YAY!
The theme is Friendship, reflecting all the new friends that so many of us have made since blogging.
Here is my card, i'm not sure what is the title of this image but it looks like the hedgie and bumble are old friends doesn't it?
