Pollycraft Designs sponsors Sketch Saturday

This weeks challenge over at Sketch Saturday is sponsored by Pollycraft Designs, and Paula is offering 2 fabulous stamps from her new collection as a prize this week!!
You can tell by looking at them that they are gonna be great fun to colour ;)

Here is this weeks sketch...

and here is my card, i've rotated the sketch so that my image and sentiment fits better.
The papers were given to me by Gill (my secret santa!) Thanks again Gill xx
This image is such a cute Tilda don't you think? I watercoloured her with distress inks and stampin up ink.
The sentiment is from a book of pop out sentiments, although I have popped them all out to save space, so I can't tell you which company made them.

Just wanted to say Thank you again to my friend Diane, who received this card from me as thanks for her help at very short notice!

Pink Gem Designs sponsoring SS this week :)

This week over at Sketch Saturday, our challenge is being sponsored by Pink Gem Designs!

And this is the fabulous stamp that you could win...

Here is my card, I made this card in less than 15 minutes!! I had to rush it a little tbh as there's so much going on here at the moment that I haven't had time to sit down and think about what I actually wanted to make, but i'm quite pleased with how it turned out in the end :)

The orange cardstock and checked paper is by stampin up, the mustard checked paper is from the 'bitty scrap pad' that I bought from Sassy Crafts, the theme is called 'windswept'. The 'thank you' sentiment is by Stamps Away, and the Elmo image (isn't he lovely?) was one of many images sent to me by my friend Emma..... thanks again Em! xx

Thanks for looking!

Simon Says Stamps awesome giveaway!!

O...M....G! this is the biggest giveaway i've ever seen!!!
You just have to put your name down for the opportunity to win a prize...good luck!

extract taken from their blog...

"Simon is announcing our biggest GIVEAWAY EVER! over $750 in blog candy prizes!

All you have to do is visit our store and tell us which of our Simon Says Stamp exclusive clear stamp sets is your favorite (over 40 to choose from). You will be entered in a drawing to be held January 10, 2009 at 11:59pm!

Why are we doing this? ....We want to publicize our new Simon Says Stamp brand of stamps! We want to hear what you think about them, what is your favorite? Let us know!

There will be 10 Big Winners! Yes, that is right, no kidding! 10 winners! Lucky lucky bloggers!"

the stamp sets are lovely and I can see that they will be very popular indeed.
I love the "you=cherry on my sundae" set but you know me and frogs, so my fave has to be the " frogs, jumping for joy" set... so cute!

Jellybelly fabric candy...

... sounds like another of Emma's fantastic creations doesn't it? actually you should go to her blog to see her fabulous fabric cupcakes/pin cushions, they're so yummy looking! Actually, I wonder if Emma has ever made draught excluders that look like mars bars or coasters that look like wagon wheels?
Anyway, I digress, click on the link above to go to her blog and while you're there, (and I promise you that you will stay for a while ogling all her fab work, giggling at her hilarious posts, and even reminiscing about your own childhood as Emma takes us on a journey through her childhood, adolescence and onto marriage and motherhood), you may want to put your name down for a chance of winning some of the fabric that Emma uses to make her goodies. If I could get along with my sewing machine then I would love to get to work making bunting, fabric pictures, and the like, but I don't, it hates me and I just don't have the patience to sit and sew by hand (too lazy lol) but I bet there's loads of you who would eh?

HAPPY NEW YEAR BLOGLAND!

I hope 2009 is kind to you all and that you all have a happy and healthy year ahead.
I'm still getting over the flu virus, but can see a light at the end of the tunnel now, just got to get rid of this nagging cough!

Well today is the first sketch of 2009 for sketch saturday, and the first DT week of the year!!
This weeks sketch is by the extremely talented Emma, who incidently is also offering an awesome prize for this weeks winner!!! a selection of goodies with a RRP of £20 !!!!!!!!! wow! what a prize eh?
Here is my card using Emmas sketch, I have used my stampin up papers yet again ;) I love them! The butterfly quartet image was given to me by my friend Debs from Auntys forum, as was the friend heart image, all I did was watercolour onto them and then bring all the elements together, added faux stitching with my white gel pen, then added the flowers with their shiny centres to finish. Hope you all like it, and hope you all have fun with the challenge this week ;)
