sketch saturday - week 52

Sorry for the lack of posting/blogging/commenting lately, there is a lot going on with 'real life' at the moment.
This is my card for this weeks challenge at Sketch Saturday.

The image, as you all probably know by now, is by Whiff of joy, I do love this little mouse!
The sentiment is from Catslife press rubber stamps, they have a great range of sentiment and definitions stamps.
The cardstock is SU, I stamped the blush blossom piece repeatedly with a trio of flowers stamp by penny black.
The flowers are punches (x-cut, retro flowers in 2 sizes), but the largest is a scalloped circle which I cut to make the flower, as shown by my friend Julie.
The ribbon is a freebie from a mag.

Please stop by Sketch saturday, we have a great prize up for grabs this week, kindly donated by this weeks sponsor, Victoria Case Art Designs.

Have a great weekend, and if you are in the UK, have a great bank holiday! :)

It's week 50!!

It's hard to believe that Sketch Saturday is almost a year old, it's gone by so quickly!
but, yes it's week 50, and this weeks sketch is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp, who have donated a wonderful prize too!
Here is my card...

The papers and cardstock is SU!
The plain bashful blue piece is embossed with a swiss dots folder, then lightly chalked to 'pop out' the dots a little more.
The image is called 'daniels doo dahs' and by Funky Fairys Papercrafts, I've coloured this cute bear with watercolour pencils.
The ribbon is from my stash, and I drew/wrote the sentiment by hand.
TFL

Hope you all have a lovely weekend xx

Sketch #49 - Debbie's DT week!

Happy Saturday everyone!
This week is my week off at Sketch Saturday, each month one of the fabulous DT girls designs their own sketch for you all, and this month is Debbie's turn, and what a great sketch she's designed!

Here is my card...

I have used one of my new stamps from the 'Summer By The Sea' set by Stampin Up!
I stamped the image in black stazon and coloured her with watercolours.
In hindsight I should have flipped the sketch and put the flowers to the right of the image instead of the left, but it still works... i think!
The gorgeous big blue flower was a birthday gift from my dear friend Rosie, she sent me flowers and ribbons in a fab froggy tin! Thanks again Rosie! xx

I hope you all have a great weekend, take care, Jo xx
