Perfect Christmas

It's time for a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet, and this time... We Wish You A Merry Christmas!
Yep, if you haven't already made a start yet, it's time to start thinking about it, we want to see Christmas cards please.
Here is my card, i've used Swings 'n Slides Perfect Christmas, a Pollycraft image available to buy in rubber from the LMM store...

The papers are all from the same paper pad by Basic Grey called 'life of the party'.
I've used 2 dies, ornate frame and drops border, both are by cArt-Us.
I stamped the ornate frame piece behind the image with a HOTP snowflake stamp.
The sentiment is a Catslife Press stamp, and 'MIKEY' was cut from some Hunkydory scrabble letter card tiles.

You can see the fantastic cards made by the other Little Misses and the challenge rules by visiting the Little Miss Muffet challenge blog.

I'd like to enter this card at:

Party Invitation

Happy Thursday! Today there's a new release over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
Barbara has created a new range of graffiti stamps and you can even treat yourself to a custom short word or name of your own too. How cool would that be eh?
Talking of cool, here's my card using one of the stamps from this fab new range, '2 cool'...

Now what is extra special about this release is that LMM is joining up with Make it Crafty to invite you to a Graffiti Party, where there's lots of inspiration and a challenge with prizes to be won too.

Make it Crafty's Urban Elements are fabulous sets of background stamps, that you can resize and move around to create your own scene.
I used the Urban Streets and Urban Johnny digis to go with my graffiti stamp. I coloured everything with promarkers. I printed Johnny again so that I could lift him from the background with foam pads.
Not shown here is the inside of this card, I used more of those Urban Street bricks digis, leaving a space in the centre to write a greeting.

I hope you'll join us at the party, you don't need to bring a bottle, just bring your imagination ;)

I'd like to enter my card at:
I Love Promarkers - anything goes
The Pink Elephant - digi images or papers

Thanks for stopping by today. xx

Up, up and away in my beautiful balloon...

Do you remember that song? if you do it might be stuck in your head for the rest of the day now, sorry about that!

It's Super Saturday over at Little Miss Muffet, so that means you can buy some rubber for a special discounted price, and you can also get your hands on a fabulous freebie too, this time, the freebie is the digi Hot Air Balloon, and here's my card...

As is usual for me, I used promarkers to colour up the image. Then I popped it up on foam pads so it would stand out from the sponged sky background (using SU bashful blue ink and a, erm, sponge!). The starry paper at the bottom is from an old sizzix pad, 'little sizzles - country'.

I'm entering this card at:
Paper Makeup - make your own background
Crafty Creations - get krafty

In the spotlight this time around is Bandit Boy Tom, a rubber stamp available at a special discounted price.
You can see some wonderful cards created by my teamies of both Tom and the freebie on the LMM challenge blog.

Thanks for stopping by today, don't forget to grab your freebie and I hope you will take advantage of the discounted stamp that's on offer too ;)

Pink & Grey

Today sees a new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet, which this time is a colour challenge - Pink & Grey, such a lovely colour combo. Here's my card...

This beautiful little girl is Daisy, she's from the Polka Dot Pals range of characters available in the store.
Daisy is coloured with promarkers. The grey patterned paper used on the background and on Daisy's belt and hairband is MME Stella & Rose 'Hattie'. To keep with the dotty theme I embossed the plain pink cardstock with my swiss dots folder, and then cut out a rectangle for the image to sit behind, next, more dots were added with some card candi.
I wrapped some pink seam binding around and tied a bow, adding the daisy charm to the knot.
The little scrap of pink spotty paper used on the balloon is by Stampin Up (sweet always).

Little Daisy is entered into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - child's play
I Love Promarkers - 3 different shapes
Crafting By Designs - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - emboss it

You can find the challenge rules and more fabulous inspiration by the other Little Misses on the challenge blog
Thanks for looking xx

From Hello Kitty to Grumpy Cat

I needed to make an 18th birthday card for a Hello Kitty fan, thing is, I don't own anything Hello Kitty related at all, so I drew said kitty onto some paper, cut it out in sections on card stock and patterned paper and then paper pieced it all together. Here's the result...

The patterned papers used are both by SU, the lighter pink from 'Tea Party', the darker from 'Sweet Always'.
The beautiful ornate frame is a lea'bilities die.
I used Die-namics 'by the letters' dies for her name, and crystal gems to make the number 18.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Top Tip Tuesday - paper piecing
Cute Card Thursday - pretty in pink
Charisma Cardz - fancy flourishes

Next, is Grumpy Cat....

This card is for my sister, whose birthday is today.  Happy Birthday Helen! xx
She loves Tardar Sauce (aka Grumpy Cat) so this just had to be done for her.
Like the hello kitty card I drew out the shapes needed first, then used them as a template on card stock to cut them out before gluing into place. The eyes were made by using circle punches then cut in half.
The background paper is by My Mind's Eye (Stella & Rose - Gertie)
The phrase at the top is handwritten.

Grumpy Cat would hate to be entered into any challenges, so I 'll do it instead ;) ...

Catch the Bug - anything goes

Have a great day, i'll be back tomorrow with a card for the new LMM challenge. xx

BOING!!...

How much fun is this image!!

I used to have a spacehopper when I was a kid, I may have mentioned it before ;)
So when Barbara showed us todays new release from Little Miss Muffet Stamps I knew straight away which image I wanted to colour up first :)
Her name is Sally, and she's one of the Polka Dot Pals (which as you know by now, are a FANTASTIC range of digi stamps!)
I wanted bright, fun colours for this card and there's none much brighter than these neon colours eh?
I coloured Sally with promarkers, but used a SU marker to add some shadows and texture to her hair.
This image doesn't need much else added because the image is fun enough on its own, perfect for a quick card make, so I just layered the paper and cardstocks used, punched the bottom edge (SU eyelet border punch) and wrote out the sentiment, et voila!

You can see more of this fun new release by checking out what the other Little Misses have made on the LMM blog.
And there's still time to enter our sketch challenge too, click the link to find the details, now that the kiddies are back at school we'd love to see more of you join in :)
