This is the card that my son will give to his Nan on Sunday...
I've used 3 different Echo Park Beautiful Life papers for this card.
After sticking down the red damask design paper, I die-cut a heart from the floral paper using the largest plain heart from Marianne's scalloped heart
set. I then made the frame for the aperture by using the same large plain heart and the scalloped heart dies from kraft cardstock.
I added some faux stitching by paper piercing and dragging a brown marker through the holes.
'Nan' was cut using my Dienamics By The Letter dies.
My sentiment at the top is a stamp by Inkadinkado.
The flower in the centre is just a stacked mix taken from my stash and secured with a spotty brad.
I'm entering this card at:
MAWTT - a stitch in time
Creative Inspirations - flower power
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - anything goes
Sister Act - anything goes
The Pink Elephant - anything goes
Fantastic Tuesday - anything goes
Shopping Our Stash - ABC (Aperture, Brad, Crochet flower)
Thanks for stopping by today xx

For My Mom
It will be my Mom's birthday this Sunday :)
This is the card i've made for her...
I won this image by Delicious Doodles, along with a few others, a couple of months ago. This is the first chance i've had to colour one of them up.
This beautiful flower is Delphinium, coloured using promarkers.
I added a little organza bow to the stem.
I wanted the flower to be the star of the show, so I have kept the design simple.
The patterned paper is from my Kanban Male Backgrounds CD.
The sentiment was cut using Clearly Besotted word dies, I used 'mum', and the 'o' from 'mother' so that I could make 'mom'.
Inside reads:
In my heart are memories
of the loving things you've done,
Today I want to tell you
that i'm thankful for each one.
There is a special memory
I'd like to mention too...
Ever since I can remember,
I remember loving you.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Creative Inspirations - flower power
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - anything goes
QKR Stampede - monochrome
Sister Act - anything goes
A Random Fan - anything goes
Stamp & Create - anything goes
The Pink Elephant - anything goes

Thanks, Little Misses.
There's a new challenge starting today over at Little Miss Muffet. This time it's a colour challenge, Blue & Green.
Today is also my last make as a member of the design team, so I decided to make a thank you card which I am dedicating to all of the Little Misses, both on the blog and on facebook, with thanks for their inspiration, support, friendship and kindness. Special extra thanks to Barbara for trusting in me and giving me the opportunity to showcase her amazing images, and to Faye, for organising everything, for all the fun you bring with it, and for not glittering me! lol... Love you girls! xx
I'd also like to thank those of you who have left such lovely comments for all of my LMM makes over the past 16 months xx
No image today, I've used the Clothes Line Metal Die to show you another way to use this die as well as with the range of hanging clothes images. Just a way to get a little more out of your die :)
If you have this die, you may have noticed that it doesn't have as many pegs here, I decided to snip off the pegs that I didn't need. Of course you don't have to do this, it's just that I wanted one peg per letter for this card.
The letters were cut using Dienamics By The Letter dies, and adhered to the card with foam pads.
I raided my scraps tub of papers that I thought went well together, staying within the blue & green challenge theme.
From left to right, they are: First Edition, Hideaway..... Sizzix, Little Sizzles, Country..... Lawn Fawn, Peace Joy Love..... Echo Park, Splash..... Dovecraft, Merry Magic..... Bella Gypsy, Moody Blues.
The flowers and leaves were made using a mix of punches.
I'm entering this card at:
The Pink Elephant - anything goes
Fantastic Tuesday - anything goes
Inky Impressions - anything goes
Creative Inspirations - flower power
You'll find the challenge rules, a place to link up your entry and awesome inspiration by the Little Misses on the challenge blog.
Please visit the Facebook Group and the LMMS page, where you can see cards made by the Little Misses uploaded throughout the day.

WISH BIG!
Monday rolls around again, but don't get the Monday Blues, we have another I {heart}sketches challenge to start your week off with a smile :)
here's the sketch , #77...
This week's twist: Flower Power
Join in the challenge, and EVERYONE who plays will receive a $1 discount code for the store, and if you are the challenge winner, you will receive a $5 discount code to the store! :)
Remember though, you must use an image by From The Heart Stamps to be eligible, and please include a pic of the sketch in your blog post too.
Don't forget to tell your crafty friends, let's see those entries :)
Here's my card, and I did get a flower on there...
This fabulous image is Birthday Burger Birdbrain, coloured with promarkers.
I've used one of FOUR bonus sentiments that you also get when you buy it.
The striped paper is by Papermania (capsule collection/spots & stripes/jewels) and the grey circle behind the image is a scrap of Paper Pizazz cardstock by HOTP.
I originally thought i'd just use the sketch, as I reeeeally wanted to use this image, and as I'd also planned on making this card for a man, I don't normally use flowers on masculine cards. Remember, you don't have to use the twist if you don't want to.
However, I happened to glance across to my flowers and there looking back at me out of its clear plastic tube, was a lime green mulberry flower, and I thought...lettuce!
I duffed up the edges of the flower slightly, and gave them a light sponging in a slightly darker green ink. I then cut a square of yellow 'cheese', glued it onto the 'lettuce' and placed the sentiment next to my embellishment. It was missing something, lettuce and cheese need tomato, right? but I didn't just want to punch a red circle, I wanted it to look as though it had seeds in the tomato slice, so I grabbed my markers and drew on to the punched circle. It doesn't look as it looked in my head lol, but I s'pose you can tell that it's a tomato slice.
I'd like to enter this card at:
That's Crafty - this is a man's world
The Male Room - seeing stars (hope it's ok that I just used 2 small punched stars?)
Sister Act - anything goes
A Random Fan - anything goes
PLEASE NOTE:
This challenge will run for almost 2 weeks as we are still in our summer schedule, and will close on Sunday, September 7th, at 10PM CST (4am Monday, August 11th, UK time).
Our next sketch challenge will start on September 8th, where we will go back to our weekly challenge schedule.
Oh, and don't forget to join us for our September Blog Hop on Friday the 5th, it's going to be all about the Birdbrains don'cha know! ;)
Join us on Facebook and “Like” our page to see sneak peeks of the next sketch.
We'd also love it if you'd join our Facebook Group too, this new group makes it easier for you to share pics of your FTH makes, and there will also be challenges posted there too :)
Happy Crafting! xx

Pumpkin PigWit SOTM reminder
It's time for our mid-month reminder for the SOTM challenge at From The Heart Stamps.
Remember.... EVERYONE who plays, WINS!
If you joined in with the Stamp Of The Month challenge in July, you will have received Pumpkin PigWit via email.
and you get all of those sentiments too! :)
Here's my card...
The spotty paper is from my Mabel pad (My Mind's Eye; Stella & Rose), and the striped is a scrap off an old sheet of paper by Chatterbox, I think the collection was called Chateau.
As you can see, I've used one of the sentiments that you get for free with this image.
I made my embellishment. I punched out 3 hearts and then used a pair of torn edge scissors, trimming away at the edges of the hearts. I sponged them and then coloured in the centres with my markers. I shaped them slightly by pushing gently with the end of a pen onto a foam mat. Then finished with some tendrils, which were just thin strips of cardstock wrapped around a pen, then I took the coil off the pen and pulled to loosen slightly to create the curls.
I'm entering this card at:
I love Promarkers - anything goes
A Random Fan - paper patterns
Papertake Weekly - spots & dots
Fantastic Tuesday - anything goes
2 Cute Ink - animals
Digi Galore - anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafty - anything goes
MilkCoffee Challenge - add stripes
So, now it's your turn ;) you can link up your SOTM entry HERE

Get Well Soon
It's inspiration day at From The Heart Stamps.
And today, I'd like to share with you a get well card using Sick Chick...
I've coloured the image with promarkers, and added a bit of extra shading with pencils.
The sentiment is one of 2 that you get along with this image, the other reads "Sorry you're sick"
I've used papers from My Mind's Eye, Lime Twist/Life of the Party pad.
I grabbed some white card candi and scored across the centre of them with the end my bone folder to make some fake pills so that my embellishments matched the theme of the card.
I glued on a little bow too, by the way, that's the twist for our current I {heart} sketches challenge, 'Ribbons or Bows'. Click on the link to the challenge to see the sketch, and where you need to link up your entry.
Join in, and EVERYONE who plays will receive a $1 discount code for the store.
Remember though, you must use an image by From The Heart Stamps to be eligible, and please include a pic of the sketch in your blog post too.
So, let's see your entries, and please remember to tell your crafting buddies too ;)
You have until Sunday 24th August to enter your project.

Meet Kiki...
It's time for another Inspiration Thursday, where you can see what the Little Misses have been making for this week over on our LMM Facebook Group.
Here's my card...
This is Kiki Ice Cream, one of the new releases in the store this week. I coloured her with promarkers.
I looked through my scraps tub for my papers, there's more and more being added to the tub all the time, so I must make the effort to use some of these papers up.
These patterned papers are both originally from the same collection by Stampin Up called 'Sweet Always', they have long been retired since though.
The greeting is also a retired Stampin Up product, this is from the 'Crazy for Cupcakes' stamp set.
I thought my Die-namics Flower and Leaf trio die matched the flower pattern on the DSP pretty well so added a couple of flowers and finished the card with some flat back crystals.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafty - anything goes
Simon Wednesday Challenge - make it sparkle
Stamp & Create - anything goes
Thanks for stopping by today. Remember, you can see more inspirational cards from my fellow Little Misses added to the group page throughout the day,
Oooh, and don't forget our current challenge, the theme is Baby, Baby :)

FTH August Blog Hop
Welcome to my stop on this month's From the Heart Stamps blog hop.
Our theme this month is "Summer & Sunshine"
As you hop along, please leave a comment on each entry.
One random commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from the FTH store.
And additionally, one commenter on the From the Heart Stamps blog will be selected to win a $15 gift voucher to the store!
Also, this month we have a challenge for you over on our NEW Facebook group (not the Facebook page) using the same Summer & Sunshine theme, go join now and let's see your summery entries :)
But back to my hop post... If you have arrived here from the lovely Imke, you are in the right place, if not, why don’t you start at the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything. The full hop list is there too.
Here is my card using an image from Sea Turtle Beach...
This is a great Summer themed set, which includes three images... sea turtles, beach bucket, and the sea turtles with the beach bucket, and you also get three bonus sentiments. A bargain!
I've coloured this image with promarkers.
The patterned paper is from a collection called Hello Sunshine by Sweet Shoppe Designs and it's FREE! ;)
The 'sand' is actually a piece of sticky back carpet that my daughter had spare from her dolls house.
The sentiment is by TLC Creations.
I made the sun by using a flower from Die-namics Flower & Leaf Trio die set, and then punched a circle for the centre.
I finished the card with blue organza ribbon and a few tiny shells that I (luckily) found in my stash, just wish I could remember where I got them from! lol
Challenges entered:
I Love Promarkers - ribbons
Penny's Paper Crafty - anything goes
Creative Inspirations - here comes summer
Crafty Little Fairies - summer fun
Sister Act Card Challenge - anything goes
Now, please head over to Kathy's blog to see her fun card.
Thanks for hopping with us today.
The hop will end on Monday August 4th at 6am, EST.
Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday August 6th
Good luck, and happy hopping! x
