It's Super Saturday over at Little Miss Muffet, so that means you can buy some rubber for a special discounted price, and you can also get your hands on a freebie too, this time, the freebie is Monster Vic,
you can see a couple of examples using Vic on the LMM blog.
My card today uses one of the spotlighted stamps...
So in the spotlight this week are the carnival sentiments and banners. You can buy the sentiment i've used on this card in the set Swings 'n Slides Carnival Sentiments #2
(and you can find set #1 HERE)
I teamed up the sentiment with Swings 'n Slides Cotton Candy,
but to be honest the sentiment would go with almost any other LMM stamp as they are all sweet.
The pretty heart paper is from a 6x6 pad called 'with love' by me to you.
I've used the dies ornate frame and drops border, both are by cArt-Us.
Have a fab weekend! It's my Mom's birthday today, and I offered to cook some buffet foods for the family, so that's what i'll be starting to do when this scheduled post goes live.
I baked a lemon drizzle cake today (meaning friday), Mom loves lemony flavours so I hope she'll like it, i'm dieting, but plan to have a little bit of it as it's the first time i've made this cake. I'm also going to be having a little bit of the date and walnut cake that my daughter has made for her Nan. My Mom's fave cake :)
I'd like to enter this card at:
Crafty Sentiments - make it girly
Pollycraft Challenge - for the kids
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Charisma Cardz - just one (one image, one sentiment, one colour...)

Rudolph Day challenge
The 25th of each month was Rudolph Day over at Auntys Forum. Sadly the forum closed last week :(
Luckily, Kathy told us about a new forum Craft Bubble II So some of us have moved to this friendly new place full of inspiration, exchanges and challenges for all sorts of crafters, not just card makers.
And they have a Rudolph Day :)
This month we have been asked to make a card using the colour RED and to include paper piecing.
Here's my card...
I've used a hanglar & stanglar stamp for this card, it actually has angel wings, but I cut those off when I fussy cut the image out. I stamped the base onto white card and coloured with promarkers, then I stamped again onto the red paper (from MME's snowed in paper pack) so that I could paper piece her dress. I used the same paper for the base and the flowers, punched using my SU boho blossoms punch, adding a flat back pearl to complete the flowers.
The white/gold patterned paper was given to me free with an online order of card stock so I don't have a name for it, sorry, pretty though eh? it is slightly embossed and the gold shimmers. I cut out some squares and punched the opposite corners.
Talking of gold shimmer, I used plain gold paper for the leaves. I finished the background with some card candi.
I also paper pieced the bauble that she is holding, using a scrap of paper from SU's Bella Bleu collection.
The sentiment is my own, from my Ticket Sentiments range.
I'd like to enter this at:
Pennys - I chose card candi, flowers and pearls
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Crafty Hazelnut's challenge - cute
Christmas Card Challenges - punches
CHNC challenge extra for August - anything goes (christmas)

Sketch challenge at LMM
That's right, today's challenge over at Little Miss Muffet is a fabby sketch, here's what I did with it...
I've used the digi stamp Polka Dot Pals Andy for my card this week and coloured him with promarkers, I chose this image because it reminds me of the cute little boy who will be receiving it.
I wanted the colours to be bright and cheerful and I was drawn to these Echo Park digi papers (called Playground Paper Pack #2) for that very reason.
I checked, and I actually bought these papers 2 years ago!! Clearly about time I used them eh?
I printed the image a few times so that I could 3D it slightly, you can't see in the photo, but the main body, head, then hair and hands are layered with glue rather than foam pads because I prefer a more subtle layering for images like this one, the end result looks more natural I think.
It's your turn now, let's see your creations :)
You'll find the challenge rules and more inspiration by the other Little Misses on the challenge blog.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Paper Crafting Journey - anything goes
Bearly Mine Challenges - digi days
Shopping Our Stash - for the boys
I Love Promarkers - use a number
Pollycraft Challenge - for the kids
Crafty Creations - use a number

Inspiration
I found this beautiful cd folder whilst on my tintynet travels.
The design inspired me to make this card for my Moms birthday this coming Saturday...
I've used Echo Park 'abundance' digi papers, I colour changed the houndstooth paper to blue as I wanted to back it to the floral patterned paper for the fold over, and blue looked better than orange because I wanted to use these pretty blue papermania material flowers.
I used 3 flower petals for each bloom and secured them with metal spacer beads and a brad. I arranged them with ivory mulberry roses and kraft punched leaves (woodware ash punch).
I paper pricked all around then dragged a white gel pen along the holes for some faux stitching.
I glued a crystal gem to another larger brad to secure the folded part.
'mom' is cut using dienamics 'by the letter' dies.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Crafty Catz - stitching (option of material)
Crafty Sentiments - make it girly
thanks for looking xx
UPDATE! YAY! i'm a winner, thank you Crafty Catz xx

Super Saturday time!
Today's Super Saturday freebie from Little Miss Muffet Stamps is Sister Brinda, from The Van Family.
I decided that she'd look pretty on a tag for a party gift, because that is definately a party dress if ever i've seen one right?...
I coloured Brinda with promarkers then cut her out using a cArt-Us die, then cut another from red mirror card using a bigger die from the set. It's always difficult to photograph mirror card.
The sentiment is an old Pollycraft one, and the mulberry roses are from my stash.
I used 2 punches, SU's scalloped oval to frame the sentiment, and Woodware's Ash leaf.
Brinda is off to the parties at:
The Pink Elephant - anything but a card
Lexi's Creations - sparkle and shine
Papertake Weekly - flower power
Penny's Paper Crafty - dies and/or punches
In today's spotlight is Cool Chester, a rubber stamp available at a special discounted price.
You can see some wonderful cards created by my teamies on the challenge blog.
Speaking of challenges, have you attended the Monster Ball yet? ;)
Don't forget our DT call ends tomorrow at midnight CDT (i think that's 6am Monday UK time)
Have a great weekend xx

Robin Owl
And here's my third card to show you today...
This is Cozy Winter Owl from Meljens Designs, but yeah I coloured him as a robin.
Have you ever coloured an image and you sort of have blinkers on and colour something differently to how most others would? Faye, yes I know you have, snowball/bauble, nuff said, even though it was genius!
Anyway, I printed this image a while ago, I often print in batches so that I have an image to hand, and this was printed for my christmas image batch. I usually write the name of the image on the reverse in pencil, except this time I didn't do that obviously.
So I grabbed the image, and I saw a bird in a winter scene, so in my head that meant a robin, so I happily coloured the little chap in and made my card.
I always put my finished cards to one side so that a) any glue can dry completely, and b) it reminds me to take a photo. That is unless i've made a card for my husband or for my son, in which case their cards get to dry in a secret drawer where neither of them can walk in and see it.
Anyway, my husband walks into my craft room and sees a couple my latest makes, "Jo, they're great, but i've never seen an owl with a red belly before". That's when I looked at the image again and realised.
He still looks good as a robin right?
The spotty paper is by Kaisercraft (Christmas Tradition) The swirly sentiment is one of the first stamps I bought many moons ago and is by Papermania.
I'm entering Robin Owl at:
Meljens - fancy font
Creative Inspirations - christmas in August
Crafty Calendar - anything goes
Christmas at Sweet Stampin - winter animals

Annoying Husband.
Now did you read that as your husband is annoying, or that you annoy him?
Most wives would say the former, all husbands the latter lol.
I've made this card for my hubby for our wedding anniversary in October.
I bought the image from Bugaboo, which came with a sentiment, but not THIS sentiment, this sentiment actually came with this image. I wanted to buy both images anyway, but for me, the sentiments work better the other way around as I plan to use the stella and gus image for my parents anniversary card next year.
The papers are by Stampin Up, it's their 'Not Quite Navy' dsp from a patterns paper pack I bought years ago. My SU stash dates back to when the four colour groups were soft subtles, earth elements, rich regals and bold brights. Not Quite Navy was in earth elements and has probably been retired quite a while now.
I punched out some small hearts using the same cardstock for a faux embossed look.
'husband' has been cut using my dienamics 'by the letter' dies.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Inky Impressions - masculine
Paper Crafting Journey - anything goes
Kaboodle Doodles - a song or a quote
number 3 on its way...

For Jake
This is one of 3 cards I have to show you today. This first one is the card i've made for my son for his birthday, it isn't until November, but I thought i'd get it made early.
This image is so much like him at the moment, infact he is playing his xbox and has his headset on at this very moment...
The image is 'teenage boy gaming' from Jelly Park.
The patterned papers used are by My Minds Eye (Stella & Rose - Hattie). I added a 'tiny bubbles' embossed piece of plain navy cardstock behind the image.
The sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps, but I wrote '15th' myself.
I used dienamics 'by the letter' dies for the word son, and added card candi to finish.
I'm entering this card at:
Inky Impressions - masculine
Seize the Birthday - anything goes
Paper Crafting Journey - anything goes
Freshly Made Sketches - sketch by Cindy
Back in a mo with number 2 ;)
UPDATE: woohoooo!

Little Sprout & friends
There's some fabby new Pollycraft cuties released today over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps :)
Now before you go dash off to the store, please let me show you my card using the adorable Little Sprout...
I decided to go with autumnal colours for this one, with a splash of sunny yellow added too.
The papers are both by Stampin Up (spotty - 'spiced cider' dsp, strip across card - 'haiku' dsp).
The kraft pieces were punched with the xcut 'diamond' border punch.
I found the glittery ribbon in my stash, it was just the right colour I was looking for, and then hung the pretty butterfly charm from it.
I used another punch for the brown leaves, and glued on a few mulberry roses to finish.
To see more of this lovely new release, please go to the LMM blog and see what the other Little Misses have been up to.
There's still time to enter our Monster Ball challenge too, click the link to find the details.
Little Sprout is entered at:
Crafty Cardmakers - fun in the sun
Papertake Weekly - flower power
Penny's Paper Crafty - dies and/or punches
Thanks for stopping by today, you can go shopping now! ;) xx

It's time for another spotlighted stamp, and a freebie over at Little Miss Muffet :)

The papers are all by First Edition, from their 'Bird Song'collection. I framed the papers using strips of scalloped punched cardstock which I then paper pierced.
I'd like to enter this card at:

Sparkle and Trevor
Super Saturday is the day for a freebie and a discounted image over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps, oooh Barbara spoils us doesn't she?
Today's freebie is Sparkle...
I've coloured Sparkle with my promarkers and then added some SU dazzling diamonds to the outside of the star. It is added to the card with foam pads.
I thought red mirror card would be a good choice to use on this card, especially as I was going down the christmas card route. My christmas card collection is looking really healthy now :)
I've used spotty Dovecraft christmas paper, and the rest of the sentiment was printed off the computer.
I finished this card with the embellishment, by using my Quickutz holly die and a few red gem crystals.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Creative Inspirations - something old, something new
(old - paper & quickutz die, new - image and mirror card)
Next, we have Forest Friends Trevor Tortoise, today's spotlighted rubber stamp...
Again, coloured with promarkers.
The background paper is by Nitwit, from a collection called spring whimsy.
The sentiment is handwritten, then mounted on to a kraft scalloped circle.
The card is finished with green seam binding and woodware punched leaves.
I'd like to enter Trevor at:
Crafty Sentiments - animals
You can grab Sparkle for free and buy Trevor for a discounted price today. Details can be found HERE.
Thank you for stopping by today. Remember that we have a DT CALL on at the moment if you fancy being a Little Miss too ;)
And you still have time to enter our current challenge 'Away with the Fairies'.

Strawberry Basket
Woohoooo! It's new release day over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today!
More sweet sunbonnet images that you will want to add to your collection ;)
Here, i've used SB Strawberry Basket with the So Berry Sweet sentiment (available with the Strawberry Jam stamp)...
I coloured her twice and then layered one, which i'd cut out first, on top of the other.
The background paper is a freebie from a craft mag, it's from a Holly Hobbie paper pack.
I've used two border punches, Xcut 'sparkle' (gold vellum) and SU's eyelet border punch (red and white pieces).
Three further punches were used, Xcut large retro flower, Nellie Snellen stamen, and a small heart punch. The first 2 of these were used to create my strawberry flowers, but I wanted them to look like they have developing fruits, so I used some yellow mulberry paper and tore little pieces off, added some tacky glue and then squished the paper to resemble a small cone shape, using more glue to secure to the centre of the flower. I finished by dotting a green marker on them.
The leaves and ladybird were found in amongst my stash, and I wrapped a few thin strips of green cardstock around the end of my embossing tool to make the tendrils.
To see more of today's new release, please go to the LMM blog to see what delights the other Little Misses have made with these adorable images.
Oh and there's still time to enter our current challenge with the theme 'Away with the Fairies'

Super Saturday
Super Saturday is the new day to get your Friday Freebie and Sunday Spotlight from
Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
Firstly, in the spotlight, we have the rather classy and elegant Cora Agnes Hatter...
I've coloured her with my promarkers, using colours to match the beautiful papers by My Mind's Eye (Pretty Please Spring). The sentiment is from create with tlc.
I was looking through my bitsa box for suitable embellishments and found these cute lil mulberry roses, ooh they will do nicely :)
You can find Cora Agnes Hatter in the store today, and at a nice discounted price too ;)
I'd like to enter Cora Agnes at:
Papertake Weekly - sketch
Crafting when we can - floral
Next up, is my card showing today's freebie.
This is Silverstar...
Silverstar has also been coloured with promarkers, then fussy cut out.
Now this magical creature deserves a bit of sparkle don't you think? so I put some SU dazzling diamonds on his mane and tail.
The papers have a sparkle to them too, they are glittered, and from First Edition (Hideaway).
The sentiment was taken from a forever friends craft cd, I think it suits the image perfectly.
I'd like to enter Silverstar at:
Card Crafters Circle - dotty for spots
Crafty Catz - pastel colours
You can grab Silverstar for yourself and get Cora Agnes for a special price today. Details can be found HERE.
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy your weekend xx

BINGO
August already!
Well I guess that means it's my turn to host the new monthly card challenge over at Auntys forum.
How about a game of BINGO! :)
I'm asking the girls to make up a line horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
But I wonder if anyone will go for the full house on one card?
I did 3 different lines.
1. Punch, Paper Piecing, Gems
2. Fake Stitching, Pink, Spots
3. Paper Piecing, Pink, Flowers
This fab image is Dottie Cupcake from Bugaboo Stamps. I coloured her with my promarkers, but paper pieced her dress and hair bow using the same paper as the background (Mini Dots from Bearly Mine Designs)
I used my SU mat pack to prick holes on the corners, then made the 'stitches' with a Cameo Coral SU marker pen. I used the same colour ink pad to stamp the flowers, they're from the 'one of a kind' stamp set, then punched them out using my matching boho blossoms punch, layered them, then finished off with a gem at the centre of each. I used a large fern leaf punch to go with them.
The sentiment is from SU's crazy for cupcakes stamp set.
Hope my friends enjoy playing bingo this month :)
I'd like to enter this card at:
That Craft Place - it's a girl thing (my second entry)
Paper Crafting Journey - PUNCHES and /or die cuts (my third entry)
Penny's Paper Crafty - add some stitching
Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
Creative Inspirations - anything goes
Thanks for stopping by xx

Away with the Fairies...
...that's the theme for the new challenge over at Little Miss Muffet challenges.
We want to see your fairy images please. Simples!
I chose Clover Winter Friends, available in rubber from Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
Clover is coloured with promarkers, then I cut out the scene using my lea'bilities die, finishing with some gems for a bit of bling.
I wanted the image and frame to be the focus of the card so I decided to use acetate across the middle.
I used my scalloped edge punch (SU) on the remaining pieces on the front then glued on the merry christmas/robin paper, which is by My Mind's Eye and is called 'snowed in'. I then stuck the acetate behind these 2 front pieces, and used the tree paper, which is from the same MME collection, on the inside back.
