This card is for a friend who is moving into a new home tomorrow...
This cutie is Bob, (though for this card it's Bobette, lol) you can get Bob from DigiStamp Boutique. If you want to buy a girly froggy with a bow and a flowery dress, then you can get Bianca. I don't own Bianca so Bob was given a pink top on this occasion ;)
I've coloured using promarkers and a blender pen, and added a little shading with pencils.
I've framed the image with a Lea'bilities die (Leane 005 Frame Curve).
The paper is by First Edition, called Bird Song.
The flowers were cut using my Die-namics Flower & Leaf Trio die, and then I finished with some bling and a leaf punched with a Woodware punch (Ash leaf).
The sentiment is computer generated.
I'd like to enter this card at:
DigiStamp Boutique - March customer competition
Simon Says Stamp (Weds) - Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - a cut above
Sister Act - Anything goes
Thanks for looking :) xx

It's time for another mid-week inspiration post for From The Heart Stamps.
I've made a simple card today, focussing on my fave feathered dudes ;)
Like many, I LOVE the Birdbrains! and this fab image is Birdbrain Balloon, coloured using promarkers.
The sentiment is one of 3 that you get for free with this image.
The paper behind the image is from a set called 'Superheroes' from a seller on Etsy.
The border punch used here is 'diamond' by Xcut.

A Golden day...
Today is my parents' golden wedding anniversary :)
50 years married, and they haven't gotten fed up of each other yet! haha!!
I made a cake for them, Date & Walnut, their fave...
They aren't big fondant fans, so I only covered the top, choosing to wrap the sides with white card and gold organza to pretty it up a little.
And here's the card that I made...
I've used dies from Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Elements 'Elegant Ovals', '50' and '&' were cut using dies from Die-namics By The Number & By The Letter sets, and 'mum' and 'dad' were both cut using word dies by Clearly Besotted Stamps.
The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye, Stella & Rose, Hattie pad, and the flowers are all from The Ribbon Girl.

Inspiration Wednesday
Here's a mid-week inspiration post for From The Heart Stamps.
This time i'm showcasing the card that I gave to my Mom for Mother's Day last Sunday...
I've paired up 2 great floral sets for this card, using the daffodil image from the new Easter Trio stamp, which is this months SOTM, and teamed it up with images from Spring Medley, which was the SOTM for April, 2014.
I made the sentiments on my pc to match.
I used promarkers as my colouring medium, and then simply added top and bottom borders with card scraps in similar colours to those used to colour the flowers. The pink scalloped borders were made using my trusty old SU eyelet border punch.
I added a 'read it and weep' verse inside, then gave my Mom the card, with a bunch of flowers, wine, and a homemade pineapple pavlova, and operation Mother's Day was complete ;)
*except that my husband and son had to give them to her because I didn't want to pass on my cold to Mom, so I wished her a Happy Mother's Day via phone instead.

Ladybug Liftoff
Happy Wednesday! that means that it's time for another inspiration day for From The Heart Stamps.
I've used this weeks sketch challenge as a guide, keeping my card clean and simple and following the sketch...
although I flipped it and added a sentiment...
This cute image is Ladybug Liftoff, and has been coloured with promarkers, in front of a sponged sky background.
The paper is by Stampin Up, from the Bashful Blue DSP collection, I have had these papers for yeeeeeeeears, i'd say around 6 or 7 years at a guess.
'friend' was cut using a word die by Clearly Besotted Stamps.
To enter OUR 100th sketch challenge please click HERE. For this week, the PRIZE IS DOUBLED to $10, AND there will be TEN winners!! How FAB is that?!

For Dad's birthday.
A few weeks ago, whilst browsing through Pinterest, I saw a card that made me giggle, but like a fool I didn't re-pin it, the design was simple enough to remember though.
I thought it would be funny for my Dad's birthday card this year...
I glued papers from Kanban's Male Backgrounds CD onto kraft cardstock, then tore the corner of the front of the card, then used yellow, brown and dark grey inks to sponge the torn edge so that it would look as though it had been burnt.
The candles are scraps of paper rolled up, then I glued the 'flames' to the top of each candle, which were die cut using the medium sized leaf from Die-namics 'Flower & Leaf trio' die.
'DAD' is also die cut, using Die-namics 'By the Letter' dies.
The sentiment is computer generated.
I'm entering this card at:
Sister Act - anything goes
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
And this is a card made for my Son to give his Grandad...
I've used Chap Snoozing from DigiStamp Boutique, and coloured with promarkers.
I actually embossed the background with a sweet/candy embossing folder, but it's lost with the patterned paper and image covering most of the card front. (The paper is by Bazzill Basics, from the Dino-mite pad). The bottom edge of the 'not quite navy' piece was made using my old SU spiral punch.
The sentiment is computer generated, and the stars are from my stash.
I'd like to enter this card at:

Creative Inspirations - something old (my SU spiral punch)
Thanks for stopping by today :) xx

Inspiration Wednesday
It's inspiration day at From The Heart Stamps.
I was asked to make a funny card for a Batman fan, I think this will do eh?...
This great image is Super Birdbrain.
The sentiment i've used here is a freebie by The Alley Way Stamps.
I coloured the image with promarkers.
The papers come from 2 sources; Stella & Rose, Hattie by My Mind's Eye (grey), and The Last Key by Bella Gypsy (yellow star), matted on to grey cardstock.
I punched out some stars from yellow card, and then die cut the recipient's initial with a Die-namics By the Letter die.
I'm entering this card at:
Top Tip Tuesday - Use an action image (action hero counts right?)
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes
Sugar & Betty's - Anything goes
Sweet Stampin - All or nothing (I chose lots of layers)
