Sketch Saturday - week 61

I only seem to be able to find the time to get on this blog weekly at the moment :(
It's week 61 over at Sketch Saturday, and this week our challenge is sponsored by one of our regular sponsors, The Craft Barn, and you could win a fabulous cuttlebug punch & emboss folder!

Here is my card..

I have used a Miss Anya image that was given to me by my friend Vicki, thanks again Vicki if you drop by here :)
The image is coloured with Promarkers, I don't have many of these yet, so need to add loads more to my collection so that I can play about with shading etc.
The patterned paper at the top was either from create & craft or was free with a mag subscription, but I can't remember which!! lol.
The purple piece is by SU! and I have embossed it with my cuttlebug stylised flowers embossing folder.
The flowers and leaves are punch outs.

Week 60!

Yes it's week 60 already over at Sketch Saturday. How time flies!

This week is sponsored by the very generous Emma Lockley.
There will be one 1st prize winner and 5 runner up prizes this week!

here is my card...

The image is 'Melinda blowing kisses' by Whiff of Joy, and I have coloured her using ink from Stampin Up! 'soft subtles' collection, and also distress inks.
Instead of 'blowing kisses', Melinda is holding a butterfly (I fancied something different)
Everything else that I have used for this card are either left over scraps or stuff i've gotten free with magazines.
To finish, I added a little glitter with my 'clear star' sakura pen.

Please go take a look at the other cards made by the talented Sketch Saturday DT, they truly are an inspiration :)

TFL, Enjoy your weekend! xx

Happy 4th July!...

... to all our friends over the pond. xx

This week, over at Sketch Saturday, is DT week, and this weeks sketch has been designed by my lovely friend Gill, with the added option of using an american theme.

And what a fabby sketch it is! Thank you Gill, it was a pleasure to work with :)

Here is my card...

The Hanglar image was given to me by Gill, so seemed appropriate to use it, I coloured her in patriotic red, white and blue, and continued with this colour theme by making the background papers for this card on Paintshop Pro.
The Star Spangled Banner sheet music was found via good ole Google ;)
The sentiment is by Stampin Up, from their pocket silhouettes set.
I added the red retro flowers, doodling, and sparkly stars to complete the card.

Hope you all have a great weekend! xx

sketch saturday #57

Hi everybody, it's saturday so it's time for another sketch challenge over at Sketch Saturday.

This is this weeks sketch...

I bought some post-it-note pads the other day and decided to make a small note pad cover for one of them. Here it is, and it measures just 8cm x 8cm...

The outer card is 'old olive' by Stampin Up
The pretty patterned paper (infact it's cardstock) is from Chatterbox's 'chateau' collection and is my all time favourite cardstock, I love it, and have used it a lot in the past, it is double sided, the stripey side and the tapestry effect side.
The telephone is hand drawn (as you can obviously tell by my poor drawing!)
The 'dial' on the phone is raised slightly from the image using foam adhesive although you can't see this very well in the photo.
The sentiment is hand written, and the ribbon is from my stash, the little flower was punched out from the same chatterbox cardstock, then I added a small flat backed pearl to the centre of the flower.

Enjoy your weekend!

SS#56

Hello Everyone, it's Saturday so it's time for another sketch :)

This week over at Sketch Saturday we have another awesome prize for our winner...
$25.00 worth of craft goodies from Simon Says Stamp!

We also have a new guest designer, Leonie, who will be with us for 2 weeks, we are very honoured to have Leonie join our team, her work is so beautiful, she is one very talented crafter!

Here is my card this week, sorry about the photo, could have been better.

Yes, i've used the same image as my last card, it's from Stampin Up! and the set is called 'Summer by the sea'
The fish images were stamped using a long forgotten stamp set that I found, See D's Boys Toys.
The images were coloured with watercolours,
all papers and embellies are from my 'scraps' drawer, so it proves that scraps can be useful!
The word 'Grandad' was printed from the computer.

Please join in and be in with a chance of winning the fabulous prize on offer this week, and don't forget to visit my fellow DT members blogs too, their cards are always stunning!

Enjoy your weekend everyone! xx
