Last month was my husbands birthday. So i'm sharing the cards that I made for him.
Dave and our cat, Tickle, are the best of friends. She snuggles up to him every chance she gets, and if she isn't in when he gets in from work, he soon has the door open, calling her home.
So I made this card for his birthday....
I used 'Crazy Cats' stamps by Tim Holtz, colouring the images to look like our Tickle.
I cut out the word HAPPY with Die-namics dies and glued them to more white card, adding 'birthday' beneath it (a word die from Clearly Besotted Stamps).
The patterned paper is by Basic Grey (Life of the Party), and the word husband was cut from one of my own designs Ticket Sentiments.
This is the card I made for Jake to give to him...
I've used 'Cheers' from DigiStamp Boutique, coloured with Promarkers, and paired it with this fantastic paper which was free with Making Cards craft magazine (May 2016, if you are able to order a back issue).
DAD was cut using an alphabet die, free with a different craft magazine (I forget which one).
I used Spellbinders 'Curved Rectangles' dies for the shape of this card.
Thanks for looking, see you on Monday for a new FTHS sketch challenge :)

A true friend...
Hello friends! I hope that you all had a fantastic Christmas time, and hoping you have a happy and healthy 2017 too.
I may not have posted for a while, but I did make some cards. I just didn't take photographs or blog any of my work. We're busy getting ready for the arrival of our new grandson, due 4th March, although the scans are showing him further ahead so may be a week or 2 earlier. *we're so excited!*
So yes, i'm back. More importantly though, Faith is back too :)
Did you grab the Bunny Love freebie? No? well go get yours now, trust me, you NEED it for your collection, it is TOO adorable!
For my first post of 2017, i'd like to welcome you to my stop on this month's From the Heart Stamps blog hop.
Our theme is Love and Friendship. The girls have made some wonderful examples to show you.
If you've arrived here from Imke's blog, you are in the right place.
If you haven't, why don’t you start at the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything. The full hop list is there too.
I'm using Easter Egg Birdbrains for my card. Not so much to make a card for Easter, but more because I love the 'true friend' sentiment which is one of 4 that you get in this set. You also get an extra image, which is a row of patterned eggs.
Here's my card...
I coloured the image with promarkers, but lightly sponged the sky with ink.
Once coloured, I gave it a pretty scalloped top by using a Marianne border die (wave).
The sentiment was printed onto pale blue card and glued above the image as shown.
I used strips of patterned paper top and bottom (Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid).
The little heart embellishment at the top is from the Heart of Hearts die by Impression Obsession.
Though you can't see it, I also added a bit of clear Wink of Stella on the pink card stock, butterflies and egg shell to complete my card.
I'm entering this card at:
Cute Card Thursday - something fun to make you smile
Crafty Catz - anything goes with a twist (ladies card)
Brown Sugar Challenge - anything goes
Passion for Promarkers - all creatures great and small
I love Promarkers - anything goes
Now, please head over to Kathy's blog to see what she has created. As you hop along, leave a comment on each blog. We will select a random winner from the comments on each blog and on the FTHS blog to win one image of your choice.
I hope that you enjoy hopping with us today. Thank you for joining us.
The hop will end on Sunday, February 5th 2017 at 6 am EST (11am UK time).
Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday, February 8th.

RJ's 2nd birthday
Where have those last 2 years gone?!
Our darling little grandson, Richard, is 2 today :)
Here are his cards, the first one made for uncle Jake to give him...
This is Freddie, I absolutely LOVE this image, it reminded me of RJ the moment I saw it.
I coloured the image with promarkers, and teamed it up with Dino-mite papers by Bazzill Basics.
'nephew' was cut from this die...
I cut out the letters that I needed, and used the 'm' for the 'w'.
The number 2 was cut using a Die-namics die (By the numbers).
I'd like to enter 'Freddie' at:

Seize The Birthday - anything goes
UPDATE 20/10/16:
Thank you so much for choosing my card :)
And here is his card from us...
Can you tell what his favourite film is? My daughter has lost count of the times that she's sat and watched it with him. To infinity..and beyond! ;)
I paper pieced the card, adding the shirt pattern and the cow print with markers.
'Grandson' is a Crafts Too die, I used the same number die as before, and 'RJ' was cut using a free alphabet die from a craft magazine. I used one of the flowers from SU's Boho Blossoms punch for the stirrups on the boots. The star punch is also by Stampin Up. I finished the shirt with Tattered Lace buttons.
Looking forward to seeing the birthday boy later today for his tea party :)
My daughter has made his cake, her first ever make, I think she has done a superb job!
Thanks for looking.

Pop up box card.
Last week I bought one of these...
and because of work, as well as my sister's birthday preparations, I wasn't able to get it out of the box until yesterday to have a play.
My friend had asked me to make a 21st birthday card for her god daughter, so I thought i'd see what designs I could get from the Silhouette Design Store.
I found lots of pop up box card designs by designer Lori Whitlock on there and loved the design of them, so decided one of those would make a fun card.
Now, i'm presuming that the problems I had removing the design off my portrait's cutting mat is due to it being brand new, because it stuck there too good, and I couldn't get it off without destroying the design :(
If any cameo/portrait owners out there have any tips, i'd be sooooo grateful.
But, I still needed to make a card for today, so I decided to use my ruler and scissors to replicate the card base design, and then decorate it to make it pretty...
The pretty papers are all by Doodlebug (Hello Sunshine).
I managed to salvage a number 21 from one of my attempts on the silhouette, and coloured it pear-green (promarker) then gave it 2 coats with a Spectrum Noir clear sparkle brush pen. I wish the photo had picked up the sparkle so you could see.
The pretty flowers were cut using the extra dies from Paper Smooches Lattice die set. I gave each a flat back pearl centre.
The leaves were cut using Poppystamps Lorelai Outline Leaf die, and an ash leaf punch by Woodware.
Happy Birthday are both word dies by Clearly Besotted Stamps, and the letters for God Daughter & the pretty scalloped trim are both by Tattered Lace.
It turned out quite pretty I think, and I can use Lori's design another time, once I get the hang of my new toy.

Helen's 50th birthday cakes
These are the cakes that I made for my sister...
I was giggling while making this one...
and with the words added...
Hehehe!

Who's turning fifty?
My wonderful sister is. Though you would never believe it to look at her.
Here's the card I made for my son to give her, I CASE'd a fantastic card I saw whilst browsing on pinterest, but can't find the website linked to it as it was just a photo, if I do find it though, i'll update this post.
Complete with 50 'candles' which are paper straws, cut in half and run through the big shot to flatten down slightly, there is still some dimension there though...

FTHS - Random image blog hop
Welcome to my stop on this month's From the Heart Stamps blog hop.
We have an inspirational random image theme this month.
We are each showing a project created with an image that was randomly assigned from the store.
If you've arrived here from Imke, you are in the right place.
If you haven't, why don’t you start at the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything. The full hop list is there too.
I was given Happy Travels Birdbrain to use this time...
I printed out the birdbrain and suitcase stack images, coloured them with promarkers then cut out & placed the suitcase stack underneath the birdbrain, I decided to lose the top suitcase and just go with the bottom two.
The sentiment is also from the set, and the postcard patterned background paper is by Prima (Botanical collection).
I'm entering this card at:
Simon Says Stamp (Wednesday challenge) - Anything goes.
ABC challenge - O is for Open.
Crafts Galore Encore - Anything goes.
Now, please head over to Kathy's blog to see which image she was given for her stop on the hop.
Thank you for hopping with us today.
Please continue to keep Faith in your thoughts and prayers.
Updated information will be posted on the blog when we have it, but, for now, there won't be any new challenges while Faith recovers.
