A happy Monday to you all. So it's the start of a new week, and it's also time for another fabulous I {heart}sketches challenge over at From The Heart Stamps.
here's the fab sketch this week...
The twist this week is: No patterned papers, use card stock only.
Join in the challenge, and EVERYONE who plays will receive $1 to FromTheHeartStamps.com.
Use it as a discount, or save them up to earn a free stamp.
If you are the challenge winner, you will receive $5 discount for
the store! :)
Remember though, you must use an image by From The Heart Stamps to be eligible, and please include a pic of the sketch in your blog post too.
Here's my DT card:
I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to the right.
The image is Full of Beans Birdbrain, and has been coloured with promarkers, as is usual for me.
I decided to use the twist as well as the sketch, so no DP's are used here, but to add a 'design' I used 2 embossing folders, Swiss Dots, and a folder from the Mini Monsters Companions set which has a sweets and lollipops design.
I used my eyelet border punch, and tied on a piece of pink gingham ribbon to finish.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Sister Act Card Challenge - anything goes
Stampin for the Weekend - anything goes (bye & thank you SFTW)
Hobby Cutz - use pink
I Love Promarkers - embossing
The challenge will close on Sunday at 10PM CST (4am Monday UK time).
Join us on Facebook and “Like” our page to see sneak peeks of the next sketch!
Happy Crafting! xx

Playing with a full deck
I'm here today with an Inspiration Wednesday post for From The Heart Stamps, and another Birdbrain image, hope you haven't got tired of seeing these fantastic little dudes, actually, how can anyone get tired of the Birdbrains, they are AWESOME!
By the way, have you seen the new images? *nudge* ;)
But wait! please don't go just yet, let me show you my card for this week...
My daughter wanted a funny card for a friend in her crib team, so I had to use Birdbrain Card Sharks...
and the text inside...
hmmm, now I see that the 2 l's on the word full look too close together in the photo, but in 'real life' it looks ok and is legible.
A simple design was needed, and I decided to match the cards to the background, so I paper pieced them with the same digi paper which is from The Last Key, by Bella Gypsy.
The text is computer generated.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Sweet Stampin - paper piecing

Sister Act Card Challenge - anything goes
Fan-tastic Tuesday - anything goes

A day to remember
Today is our daughter & new son-in-law's wedding day! :)
I wanted to keep to a CAS theme so that this beautiful Heart of Hearts die by Impression Obsession could really stand out.
I have added a verse to the inside, i've no idea who wrote it though, so I can't give credit where it's due...
Plan together for the future
but don't forget to live today
Enjoy each precious moment
of your journey on the way
Snuggle close when storm clouds gather
Love will overcome all fears
Build a picture book of happiness
to add to through the years
Fill your lives with special memories
that are made along the way
Always remember to take time
to say "I love you" every day
Enjoy a happy life together
Have fun and laughter too
For that's the very special wish
That we send to both of you
Lovely verse isn't it?
Here's a photo of the cake I have made for them:
Cake: top tier is red velvet, bottom tier is chocolate.
Congratulations Laura & Rich xx

another...
Here's another Father's Day card...
The image is and older one, by Lili of the Valley and is called Armchair Bear.
I have loads of stamps that I don't ink up nowadays as I use digital images more and more, but it's always nice to get inky from time to time, and whilst going through my collection I was reminded how fab many of them are, I will have to start using them again :)
The layout i've used here is an old one, designed by myself from my Sketch Saturday days. You can find all of my sketches HERE.
This is sketch #203. Funnily enough, I used the same image for my SSDT card back then too! I only noticed this just now, when I went to the SS blog to grab the link. lol.
The papers are from 2 pads, My Mind's Eye, Stella & Rose, Gertie; and Basic Grey, Basic Kraft.
Spookily, I also used papers from these 2 pads on the SS card too!
(i'm starting to scare myself now)
The sentiment is computer generated, and I finished the card this time by adding some card candy.

Morning! it's time for an inspirational post for Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
This is the card my son will give to his sister and new brother-in-law when they get married...
Image: Spencer & Claudia Wedding.
Papers: The patterned paper is unknown, it is a few years old now, from my stash. I've used red and gold mirror card too.
Dies: 'congrats' from Clearly Besotted Stamps; and 'By The Letter Uppercase' & 'Staggered Heart Border' by Die-namics
Please visit our Facebook Group or the LMMS page, where you can see other cards made by the Little Misses uploaded throughout the day.
And don't forget out current challenge, which has the theme, Funky Hair.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day :)

Father's Day cards
I have 2 cards to share today.
The first one uses an image from Just Inklined...
The papers are both by My Mind's Eye, Stella & Rose collections.
The spotty piece is from Mabel, and the striped from Hattie.
I diecut my lettering using Die-namics By the Letter dies.
The sentiment was printed off the computer.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Charisma Cardz - Father's Day
The Male Room - Father's day
The Pink Elephant - Father's day/Masculine
Paper Makeup - For the Men
Papertake Weekly - For the Boys

Penny's Paper Crafty - anything goes
The following card was CASEd off Amy Rysavy (thank you for the inspiration Amy x)
I was looking at crafting videos in You Tube, and saw Amy's video for this card. I knew I wanted to create something similar, so straight away I bought the Die-namics tool charm dies and 'patiently' *cough* waited for postie to deliver them.
and here is an angled pic (sorry for the brightness from the gold mirror card)...
The wood grained patterned paper used here is from Basic Grey's Life of the Party pad. The 'nails' were just doodled on with a silver metallic promarker pen.
The tool charm die cuts were hung using brass brads.
'Grandad' was cut using Die-namics By the Letter dies.
The sentiment was printed off the computer.
I won't be entering this card into any challenges, as it was not my original design. Credit goes to Amy for this one. I just know that my Dad will love this card when my son gives it to him :)
Ok, so that's 2 down, 2 more to go.... Thanks for looking, later Peeps! xx

18th birthday cards
I was asked to make a couple of cards for an 18th birthday...
This image is by Stitchy Bear, well actually it's an image of one shoe, I added another shoe (with permission) as I prefer the look of the pair, although I did print the single shoe with pearls again so That I could layer it with foam pads. I printed an additional string of pearls too, after colouring them, I cut them out and gave them a coating of Anita's 3D clear gloss.
The paper is by Melissa Frances (Classic Elegance - Strictly Business)
I diecut the '18' with Die-namics By The Number dies.
And here's the other card...
This fun image is Funny Face by Redonkadoodles.
Both the floral & soft striped papers were free in a craft mag, it's from a pad called Bonnets & Bowties and is by Lili of the Valley & Nitwit Collections.
I've added this pretty border either side, using a cArt-Us die (fountain), then added some flat back crystals and punched flowers to decorate.
'Niece' was cut using Die-namics By The Letter dies.

I {heart} sketches #70
Happy Monday people! it's time for another fabulous I {heart}sketches challenge :)
here's the great sketch for this week...
This week's twist: use an animal of some sort.
Join in the challenge, and everyone who plays will receive a $1 discount code for the store, and if you are the challenge winner, you will receive a $5 discount code to the store! :)
Remember though, you must use an image by From The Heart Stamps to be eligible, and please include a pic of the sketch in your blog post too.
For my card, i've used Birdbrain Brew to make a Father's Day card for my husband from our son.
I rotated the sketch, but in hindsight, I think it may have looked better if i'd kept to the original, I rotated it because the bottle replaces the heart embellishments, but then I stuck this down before I added 'Dad' to the side of it.
Image: Birdbrain Brew.
Sentiment: handwritten, plus diecut 'Dad'.
Paper: Lawn Fawn (Peace, Joy, Love); other plain paper/card from stash.
Colouring Medium: promarkers.
Other Supplies: Die-namics 'By The Letter' dies; Cuttlebug 'Tiny Bubbles' embossing folder.
I'd like to enter this Birdbrain at:
Totally Gorjuss - embossing
Charisma Cardz - Father's Day
Simon Says Stamp - father's day / masculine
You can find more inspiration, and enter the I {heart} sketches challenge by clicking HERE.

Welcome to my stop on this month's From the Heart Stamps blog hop.
Our theme this month is "One for the Guys"

Here is my card, using an image from Birdbrain Football Fanatics.
Because an american football looks similar to an english rugby ball, I decided to colour up this image for an England rugby fan.
I used this week's sketch for my layout.
Papers: Bella Gypsy Designs, The Last Key and Moody Blues collections.
Sentiment: Birdbrain Football Fanatics.
Colouring Medium: promarkers.
Other supplies: Xcut 'diamond' border punch.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Funky hair at LMM
Today is new challenge day over at Little Miss Muffet challenges. This time we want to see 'Funky Hair', no blondes, brunettes or red-heads (unless it's proper bright red), so let's see your blues, greens, purples etc.
Here's my card...
This pretty girl is Nimiane Mermaid, a digital stamp by Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
I've coloured her with promarkers. It was only after finishing the card that I thought I could have coloured her hair a different colour than aqua, maybe lilac would have looked good. The rocks were drawn in using promarkers too.
The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley, and the pretty scalloped trim by Stampin Up.
Hmmm, looking at it again now, I think i'll add a touch of lilac to the flowers in the sentiment.
I'd like to enter this card at:
Hobby Cutz Challenges - no designer paper
Paper Makeup - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
I love Promarkers - digi does it
Check out what the other Little Misses have made this week over at the challenge blog or on our facebook group.
Have a great day x
